AS	Shall he that cavilleth contend with the Almighty? He that argueth with God, let him answer it.

KG	Avagy semmivé teheted-é te az én igazságomat; kárhoztathatsz-é te engem azért, hogy te igaz légy?
AS	Then Job answered Jehovah, and said,

KG	És van-é ugyanolyan karod, mint az Istennek, mennydörgő hangon szólasz-é, mint ő?
AS	Behold, I am of small account; What shall I answer thee? I lay my hand upon my mouth.

KG	Ékesítsd csak fel magadat fénynyel és méltósággal, ruházd fel magadat dicsőséggel és fenséggel!
AS	Once have I spoken, and I will not answer; Yea, twice, but I will proceed no further.

KG	Öntsd ki haragodnak tüzét, és láss meg minden kevélyt és alázd meg őket!
AS	Then Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

KG	Láss meg minden kevélyt és törd meg őket, és a gonoszokat az ő helyükön tipord le!
AS	Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

KG	Rejtsd el őket együvé a porba, orcájukat kösd be mélységes sötéttel:
AS	Wilt thou even annul my judgment? Wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be justified?
KJV	Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?

KG	Akkor én is dicsőítlek, hogy megtartott téged a te jobbkezed!
AS	Or hast thou an arm like God? And canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
KJV	Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

KG	Nézd csak a behemótot, amelyet én teremtettem, amiként téged is, fűvel él, mint az ökör!
AS	Deck thyself now with excellency and dignity; And array thyself with honor and majesty.
KJV	Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.

KG	Nézd csak az erejét az ő ágyékában, és az ő erősségét hasának izmaiban!
AS	Pour forth the overflowings of thine anger; And look upon every one that is proud, and abase him.

AS	Hide them in the dust together; Bind their faces in the hidden `place'.

KG	Az Isten alkotásainak remeke ez, az ő teremtője adta meg néki fegyverét.
AS	Then will I also confess of thee That thine own right hand can save thee.

KG	Megfoghatják-é őt szemei láttára, vagy átfúrhatják-é az orrát tőrökkel?!
AS	He is the chief of the ways of God: He `only' that made him giveth him his sword.
