KG	Tovább is felele Elihu, és monda:
AS	Moreover Elihu answered and said,

AS	Thinkest thou this to be `thy' right, `Or' sayest thou, My righteousness is more than God's,

KG	Hogyha ezt mondod: Mi hasznod belőle? Mivel várhatok többet, mintha vétkezném?
AS	That thou sayest, What advantage will it be unto thee? `And', What profit shall I have, more than if I had sinned?
KJV	For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?

KG	Én megadom rá néked a feleletet, és barátaidnak te veled együtt.
AS	I will answer thee, And thy companions with thee.
KJV	I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.

KG	Tekints az égre és lásd meg; és nézd meg a fellegeket, milyen magasan vannak feletted!
AS	Look unto the heavens, and see; And behold the skies, which are higher than thou.
KJV	Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

KG	Hogyha vétkezel, mit tehetsz ellene; ha megsokasítod bűneidet, mit ártasz néki?
AS	If thou hast sinned, what effectest thou against him? And if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?
KJV	If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?

KG	Ha igaz vagy, mit adsz néki, avagy mit kap a te kezedből?
AS	If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? Or what receiveth he of thy hand?

KG	Az olyan embernek árt a te gonoszságod, mint te vagy, és igazságod az ilyen ember fiának használ.
AS	Thy wickedness `may hurt' a man as thou art; And thy righteousness `may profit' a son of man.
KJV	Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.

KG	A sok erőszak miatt kiáltoznak; jajgatnak a hatalmasok karja miatt;
AS	By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry out; They cry for help by reason of the arm of the mighty.

KG	De egy sem mondja: Hol van Isten, az én teremtőm, aki hálaénekre indít éjszaka;
AS	But none saith, Where is God my Maker, Who giveth songs in the night,

KG	Aki többre tanít minket a mezei vadaknál, és bölcsebbekké tesz az ég madarainál?
AS	Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, And maketh us wiser than the birds of the heavens?

KG	Akkor azután kiálthatnak, de ő nem felel a gonoszok kevélysége miatt;
AS	There they cry, but none giveth answer, Because of the pride of evil men.
KJV	There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

KG	Mert a hiábavalóságot Isten meg nem hallgatja, a Mindenható arra nem tekint.
AS	Surely God will not hear an empty `cry', Neither will the Almighty regard it.
KJV	Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

KG	Hátha még azt mondod: Te nem látod őt; az ügy előtte van és te reá vársz!
AS	How much less when thou sayest thou beholdest him not, The cause is before him, and thou waitest for him!
KJV	Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.

KG	Most pedig, mivel nem büntet haragja, és nem figyelmez a nagy álnokságra:
AS	But now, because he hath not visited in his anger, Neither doth he greatly regard arrogance;
KJV	But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:

KG	Azért tátja fel Jób hívságra a száját, és szaporítja a szót értelem nélkül.
AS	Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vanity; He multiplieth words without knowledge.
