KG	És szóla Elihu, és monda:
AS	Moreover Elihu answered and said,

KG	Halljátok meg bölcsek az én szavaimat, és ti tudósok hajtsátok hozzám füleiteket!
AS	Hear my words, ye wise men; And give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
KJV	Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

KG	Mert a fül próbálja meg a szót, mint az íny kóstolja meg az ételt.
AS	For the ear trieth words, As the palate tasteth food.
KJV	For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.

KG	Keressük csak magunk az igazságot, értsük meg magunk között, mi a jó?
AS	Let us choose for us that which is right: Let us know among ourselves what is good.
KJV	Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

KG	Mert Jób azt mondá: Igaz vagyok, de Isten megtagadja igazságomat.
AS	For Job hath said, I am righteous, And God hath taken away my right:
KJV	For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.

KG	Igazságom ellenére kell hazugnak lennem; halálos nyíl talált hibám nélkül!
AS	Notwithstanding my right I am `accounted' a liar; My wound is incurable, `though I am' without transgression.
KJV	Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.

KG	Melyik ember olyan, mint Jób, aki issza a csúfolást, mint a vizet.
AS	What man is like Job, Who drinketh up scoffing like water,
KJV	What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?

KG	És egy társaságban forog a gonosztevőkkel, és az istentelen emberekkel jár!
AS	Who goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, And walketh with wicked men?
KJV	Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.

KG	Mert azt mondja: Nem használ az az embernek, ha Istennel békességben él.
AS	For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing That he should delight himself with God.
KJV	For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.

KG	Azért, ti tudós emberek, hallgassatok meg engem! Távol legyen Istentől a gonoszság, és a Mindenhatótól az álnokság!
AS	Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: Far be it from God, that he should do wickedness, And from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
KJV	Therefore hearken unto me ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

KG	Sőt inkább, amint cselekszik az ember, úgy fizet néki, és kiki az ő útja szerint találja meg, amit keres.
AS	For the work of a man will he render unto him, And cause every man to find according to his ways.
KJV	For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

KG	Bizonyára az Isten nem cselekszik gonoszságot, a Mindenható el nem ferdíti az igazságot!
AS	Yea, of a surety, God will not do wickedly, Neither will the Almighty pervert justice.
KJV	Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.

KG	Kicsoda bízta reá a földet és ki rendezte az egész világot?
AS	Who gave him a charge over the earth? Or who hath disposed the whole world?
KJV	Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?

KG	Ha csak ő magára volna gondja, lelkét és lehellését magához vonná:
AS	If he set his heart upon himself, `If' he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
KJV	If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

KG	Elhervadna együtt minden test és az ember visszatérne a porba.
AS	All flesh shall perish together, And man shall turn again unto dust.
KJV	All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

KG	Ha tehát van eszed, halld meg ezt, és a te füledet hajtsd az én beszédeimnek szavára!
AS	If now `thou hast' understanding, hear this: Hearken to the voice of my words.
KJV	If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

KG	Vajjon, aki gyűlöli az igazságot, kormányozhat-é? Avagy az ellenállhatatlan igazat kárhoztathatod-é?
AS	Shall even one that hateth justice govern? And wilt thou condemn him that is righteous `and' mighty?-
KJV	Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?

KG	Aki azt mondja a királynak: Te semmirevaló! És a főembereknek: Te gonosztevő!
AS	`Him' that saith to a king, `Thou art' vile, `Or' to nobles, `Ye are' wicked;
KJV	Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?

KG	Aki nem nézi a fejedelmek személyét és a gazdagot a szegénynek fölibe nem helyezteti; mert mindnyájan az ő kezének munkája.
AS	That respecteth not the persons of princes, Nor regardeth the rich more than the poor; For they all are the work of his hands.
KJV	How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

KG	Egy pillanat alatt meghalnak; éjfélkor felriadnak a népek és elenyésznek, a hatalmas is eltűnik kéz nélkül!
AS	In a moment they die, even at midnight; The people are shaken and pass away, And the mighty are taken away without hand.
KJV	In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

KG	Mert ő szemmel tartja mindenkinek útját, és minden lépését jól látja.
AS	For his eyes are upon the ways of a man, And he seeth all his goings.
KJV	For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

KG	Nincs setétség és nincs a halálnak árnyéka, ahova elrejtőzhessék a gonosztevő;
AS	There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, Where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
KJV	There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

KG	Mert nem sokáig kell szemmel tartania az embert, hogy az Isten elé kerüljön ítéletre!
AS	For he needeth not further to consider a man, That he should go before God in judgment.
KJV	For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.

KG	Megrontja a hatalmasokat vizsgálat nélkül, és másokat állít helyökbe.
AS	He breaketh in pieces mighty men `in ways' past finding out, And setteth others in their stead.
KJV	He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.

KG	Ekképpen felismeri cselekedeteiket, és éjjel is ellenök fordul és szétmorzsoltatnak.
AS	Therefore he taketh knowledge of their works; And he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
KJV	Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

KG	Gonosztevők gyanánt tapodja meg őket olyan helyen, ahol látják.
AS	He striketh them as wicked men In the open sight of others;
KJV	He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

KG	Akik azért távoztak el, és azért nem gondoltak egyetlen útjával sem,
AS	Because they turned aside from following him, And would not have regard in any of his ways:
KJV	Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:

KG	Hogy a szegény kiáltását hozzájok juttatja, és ő a nyomorultak kiáltását meghallja.
AS	So that they caused the cry of the poor to come unto him, And he heard the cry of the afflicted.
KJV	So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.

KG	Ha ő nyugalmat ád, ki kárhoztatja őt? Ha elrejti arcát, ki láthatja meg azt? Akár nép elől, akár ember elől egyaránt;
AS	When he giveth quietness, who then can condemn? And when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? Alike whether `it be done' unto a nation, or unto a man:

KG	Hogy képmutató ember ne uralkodjék, és ne legyen tőre a népnek.
AS	That the godless man reign not, That there be none to ensnare the people.
KJV	That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.

KG	Bizony az Istenhez így való szólani: Elszenvedem, nem leszek rossz többé;
AS	For hath any said unto God, I have borne `chastisement', I will not offend `any more':
KJV	Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:

KG	Amit át nem látok, arra te taníts meg engemet; ha gonoszságot cselekedtem, többet nem teszem!
AS	That which I see not teach thou me: If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more?
KJV	That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

KG	Avagy te szerinted fizessen-é csak azért, mert ezt megveted, és hogy te szabd meg és nem én? Nos, mit tudsz? Mondd!
AS	Shall his recompense be as thou wilt, that thou refusest it? For thou must choose, and not I: Therefore speak what thou knowest.
KJV	Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.

KG	Az okos emberek azt mondják majd nékem, és a bölcs férfiú, aki reám hallgat:
AS	Men of understanding will say unto me, Yea, every wise man that heareth me:
KJV	Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.

KG	Jób tudatlanul szól, és szavai megfontolás nélkül valók.
AS	Job speaketh without knowledge, And his words are without wisdom.
KJV	Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.

KG	Óh, bárcsak megpróbáltatnék Jób mind végiglen, amiért úgy felel, mint az álnok emberek!
AS	Would that Job were tried unto the end, Because of his answering like wicked men.
KJV	My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.

KG	Mert vétkét gonoszsággal tetézi, csapkod közöttünk, és Isten ellen szószátyárkodik.
AS	For he addeth rebellion unto his sin; He clappeth his hands among us, And multiplieth his words against God.
KJV	For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
