KG	Kikacagják a saját barátai azt, mint engem, aki Istenhez kiált és meghallgatja őt. Kikacagják az igazat, az ártatlant!
AS	I am as one that is a laughing-stock to his neighbor, I who called upon God, and he answered: The just, the perfect man is a laughing-stock.

KG	A szerencsétlen megvetni való, gondolja, aki boldog; ez vár azokra, akiknek lábok roskadoz.
AS	In the thought of him that is at ease there is contempt for misfortune; It is ready for them whose foot slippeth.

AS	The tents of robbers prosper, And they that provoke God are secure; Into whose hand God bringeth `abundantly'.

KG	Egyébiránt kérdezd meg csak a barmokat, majd megtanítanak, és az égnek madarait, azok megmondják néked.

KG	Mindezek közül melyik nem tudja, hogy az Úrnak keze cselekszi ezt?

AS	Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again; He shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.

KG	Ímé, ha a vizeket elfogja, kiszáradnak; ha kibocsátja őket, felforgatják a földet.
