KG	Mert minden főpap ajándékok meg áldozatok vitelére rendeltetik, amiért szükséges, hogy legyen valamije ennek is, amit áldozatul vigyen.
AS	For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is necessary that this `high priest' also have somewhat to offer.
KJV	For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

KG	Ha tehát a földön volna, még csak pap sem volna, lévén olyan papok, akik a törvény szerint áldoznak ajándékokkal,
AS	Now if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, seeing there are those who offer the gifts according to the law;

AS	who serve `that which is' a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses is warned `of God' when he is about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern that was showed thee in the mount.
KJV	Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

KG	Most azonban annyival kiválóbb szolgálatot nyert, amennyivel jobb szövetségnek közbenjárója, amely jobb ígéretek alapján köttetett.
AS	But now hath he obtained a ministry the more excellent, by so much as he is also the mediator of a better covenant, which hath been enacted upon better promises.

KG	Mert ha az az első kifogástalan volt volna, nem kerestetett volna hely a másodiknak.
AS	For if that first `covenant' had been faultless, then would no place have been sought for a second.

KG	Mert dorgálván őket, így szól: Ímé napok jőnek, ezt mondja az Úr, és az Izráel házával és Júdának házával új szövetséget kötök.

KG	Nem azon szövetség szerint, amelyet kötöttem az ő atyáikkal ama napon, mikor kézen fogtam őket, hogy kivezessem Égyiptomból, mert ők nem maradtak meg abban az én szövetségemben, azért én sem gondoltam velök, mondja az Úr.
AS	Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers In the day that I took them by the hand to lead them forth out of the land of Egypt; For they continued not in my covenant, And I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

KG	És nem tanítja kiki az ő felebarátját és kiki az ő atyafiát, mondván: Ismerd meg az Urat; mert mindnyájan megismernek engem a kicsinytől nagyig.
AS	And they shall not teach every man his fellow-citizen, And every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: For all shall know me, From the least to the greatest of them.

KG	Mert megkegyelmezek álnokságaiknak, és az ő bűneikről és gonoszságaikról meg nem emlékezem.
AS	For I will be merciful to their iniquities, And their sins will I remember no more.

KG	Mikor újról beszél, óvá tette az elsőt; ami pedig megavul és megvénhedik, közel van az enyészethez.
AS	In that he saith, A new `covenant' he hath made the first old. But that which is becoming old and waxeth aged is nigh unto vanishing away.
