1. vers
KG Mert ez a Melkisédek Sálem királya, a felséges Isten papja, aki a királyok leveréséből visszatérő Ábrahámmal találkozván, őt megáldotta,
AS For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,
KJV For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
2. vers
KG Akinek tizedet is adott Ábrahám mindenből: aki elsőben is magyarázat szerint igazság királya, azután pedig Sálem királya is, azaz békesség királya,
AS to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, King of righteousness, and then also King of Salem, which is King of peace;
KJV To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3. vers
KG Apa nélkül, anya nélkül, nemzetség nélkül való; sem napjainak kezdete, sem életének vége nincs, de hasonlóvá tétetvén az Isten Fiához, pap marad örökké.
AS without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like unto the Son of God), abideth a priest continually.
KJV Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
4. vers
KG Nézzétek meg pedig, mily nagy ez, akinek a zsákmányból tizedet is adott Ábrahám, a pátriárka;
AS Now consider how great this man was, unto whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the chief spoils.
KJV Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
5. vers
KG És bár azoknak, kik a Lévi fiai közül nyerik el a papságot, parancsolatjok van, hogy törvény szerint tizedet szedjenek a néptől, azaz az ő atyafiaiktól, jóllehet ők is az Ábrahám ágyékából származtak;
AS And they indeed of the sons of Levi that receive the priest's office have commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though these have come out of the loins of Abraham:
KJV And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
6. vers
AS but he whose genealogy is not counted from them hath taken tithes of Abraham, and hath blessed him that hath the promises.
KJV But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7. vers
AS But without any dispute the less is blessed of the better.
KJV And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
8. vers
KG És itt halandó emberek szednek tizedet, ott ellenben az, aki bizonyság szerint él:
AS And here men that die receive tithes; but there one, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
KJV And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
9. vers
KG És hogy úgy szóljak, Ábrahámnál fogva tized vétetett Lévitől is, a tizedszedőtől,
AS And, so to say, through Abraham even Levi, who receiveth tithes, hath paid tithes;
KJV And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.
10. vers
AS for he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchizedek met him.
KJV For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
11. vers
AS Now if there was perfection through the Levitical priesthood (for under it hath the people received the law), what further need `was there' that another priest should arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be reckoned after the order of Aaron?
KJV If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12. vers
KG Mert a papság megváltozásával szükségképpen megváltozik a törvény is.
AS For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
KJV For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
13. vers
KG Mert akiről ezek mondatnak, az más nemzetségből származott, amelyből senki sem szolgált az oltár körül;
AS For he of whom these things are said belongeth to another tribe, from which no man hath given attendance at the altar.
KJV For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14. vers
KG Mert nyilvánvaló, hogy a mi Urunk Júdából támadott, amely nemzetségre nézve semmit sem szólott Mózes a papságról.
AS For it is evident that our Lord hath sprung out of Judah; as to which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priests.
KJV For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
15. vers
AS And `what we say' is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest,
KJV And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16. vers
AS who hath been made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life:
KJV Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
17. vers
AS for it is witnessed `of him,' Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek.
KJV For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
18. vers
AS For there is a disannulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness
KJV For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
19. vers
AS (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in thereupon of a better hope, through which we draw nigh unto God.
KJV For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
20. vers
AS And inasmuch as `it is' not without the taking of an oath
KJV And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
21. vers
AS (for they indeed have been made priests without an oath; but he with an oath by him that saith of him, The Lord sware and will not repent himself, Thou art a priest for ever);
KJV (For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)
22. vers
KG Annyiban jobb szövetségnek lett kezesévé Jézus.
AS by so much also hath Jesus become the surety of a better covenant.
KJV By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
23. vers
AS And they indeed have been made priests many in number, because that by death they are hindered from continuing:
KJV And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
24. vers
KG De ennek, minthogy örökké megmarad, változhatatlan a papsága.
AS but he, because he abideth for ever, hath his priesthood unchangeable.
KJV But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
25. vers
KG Ennekokáért ő mindenképpen idvezítheti is azokat, akik ő általa járulnak Istenhez, mert mindenha él, hogy esedezzék érettök.
AS Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
KJV Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
26. vers
KG Mert ilyen főpap illet vala minket, szent, ártatlan, szeplőtelen, a bűnösöktől elválasztott, és aki az egeknél magasságosabb lőn,
AS For such a high priest became us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
KJV For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
27. vers
AS who needeth not daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the `sins' of the people: for this he did once for all, when he offered up himself.
KJV Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28. vers
KG Mert a törvény gyarló embereket rendel főpapokká, de a törvény után való esküvés beszéde örök tökéletes Fiút.
AS For the law appointeth men high priests, having infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was after the law, `appointeth' a Son, perfected for evermore.
KJV For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
