KG	Mondom pedig, hogy ameddig az örökös kiskorú, semmiben sem különbözik a szolgától, jóllehet ura mindennek;
AS	But I say that so long as the heir is a child, he differeth nothing from a bondservant though he is lord of all;

KG	Hanem gyámok és gondviselők alatt van az atyjától rendelt ideig.

KG	Mikor pedig eljött az időnek teljessége, kibocsátotta Isten az ő Fiát, aki asszonytól lett, aki törvény alatt lett,
AS	but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
KJV	But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

KG	Hogy a törvény alatt levőket megváltsa, hogy elnyerjük a fiúságot.
AS	that he might redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
KJV	To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

KG	Minthogy pedig fiak vagytok, kibocsátotta az Isten az ő Fiának Lelkét a ti szíveitekbe, ki ezt kiáltja: Abba, Atya!
AS	And because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

KG	Azért nem vagy többé szolga, hanem fiú; ha pedig fiú, Istennek örököse is Krisztus által.
AS	So that thou art no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.
KJV	Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

KG	Ámde akkor, mikor még nem ismertétek az Istent, azoknak szolgáltatok, amik természet szerint nem istenek;
AS	Howbeit at that time, not knowing God, ye were in bondage to them that by nature are no gods:
KJV	Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.

KG	Most azonban, hogy megismertétek az Istent, sőt hogy megismert titeket az Isten, miként tértek vissza ismét az erőtelen és gyarló elemekhez, amelyeknek megint újból szolgálni akartok?
AS	but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?
KJV	But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

KG	Megtartjátok a napokat és hónapokat és időket, meg az esztendőket.
AS	Ye observe days, and months, and seasons, and years.

KG	Féltelek titeket, hogy hiába fáradoztam körültetek.
AS	I am afraid of you, lest by any means I have bestowed labor upon you in vain.
KJV	I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

KG	Legyetek olyanok, mint én; mert én is olyanná lettem, mint ti: atyámfiai, kérlek titeket, semmivel sem bántottatok meg engem.
AS	I beseech you, brethren, become as I `am', for I also `am become' as ye `are'. Ye did me no wrong:
KJV	Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all.

KG	Tudjátok pedig, hogy testem erőtelensége miatt hirdettem néktek az evangyéliomot először.
AS	but ye know that because of an infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you the first time:
KJV	Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.

KG	És megkísértetvén testemben, nem vetettetek meg, sem nem útáltatok meg engem, hanem úgy fogadtatok, mint Istennek angyalát, mint Krisztus Jézust.
AS	and that which was a temptation to you in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but ye received me as an angel of God, `even' as Christ Jesus.
KJV	And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

KG	Hová lőn tehát a ti boldogságotok? Mert bizonyságot teszek néktek, hogy ti, ha lehetséges volt volna, szemeiteket kivájván, nékem adtátok volna.
AS	Where then is that gratulation of yourselves? for I bear you witness, that, if possible, ye would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me.
KJV	Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.

KG	Tehát ellenségetek lettem-é, megmondván néktek az igazat?
AS	So then am I become your enemy, by telling you the truth?
KJV	Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

KG	Nem szépen buzgolkodnak érettetek, sőt minket ki akarnak rekeszteni, hogy mellettök buzgolkodjatok.
AS	They zealously seek you in no good way; nay, they desire to shut you out, that ye may seek them.
KJV	They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.

KG	Szép dolog pedig fáradozni a jóban mindenkor, és nem csupán akkor, ha köztetek vagyok.
AS	But it is good to be zealously sought in a good matter at all times, and not only when I am present with you.
KJV	But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.

KG	Gyermekeim! kiket ismét fájdalommal szűlök, míglen kiábrázolódik bennetek Krisztus.
AS	My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ be formed in you--
KJV	My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

KG	Szeretnék pedig most köztetek jelen lenni és változtatni a hangomon; mert bizonytalanságban vagyok felőletek.
AS	but I could wish to be present with you now, and to change my tone; for I am perplexed about you.
KJV	I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you.

KG	Mondjátok meg nékem, kik a törvény alatt akartok lenni: nem halljátok-é a törvényt?
AS	Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
KJV	Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

KG	Mert meg van írva, hogy Ábrahámnak két fia volt; egyik a szolgálótól, és a másik a szabadostól.
AS	For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, one by the handmaid, and one by the freewoman.
KJV	For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

KG	De a szolgálótól való test szerint született; a szabadostól való pedig az ígéret által.
AS	Howbeit the `son' by the handmaid is born after the flesh; but the `son' by the freewoman `is born' through promise.
KJV	But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

KG	Ezek mást példáznak: mert azok az asszonyok a két szövetség, az egyik a Sinai hegyről való, szolgaságra szűlő, ez Hágár,
AS	Which things contain an allegory: for these `women' are two covenants; one from mount Sinai, bearing children unto bondage, which is Hagar.
KJV	Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

KG	Mert Hágár a Sinai hegy Arábiában, hasonlatos pedig a mostani Jeruzsálemhez, nevezetesen fiaival együtt szolgál.
AS	Now this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia and answereth to the Jerusalem that now is: for she is in bondage with her children.
KJV	For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

KG	De a magasságos Jeruzsálem szabad, ez mindnyájunknak anyja,
AS	But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is our mother.
KJV	But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

KG	Mert meg van írva: Ujjongj te meddő, ki nem szűlsz; vígadozzál és kiálts, ki nem vajudol; mert sokkal több az elhagyottnak magzatja, mint akinek férje vagyon.
AS	For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: For more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath the husband.
KJV	For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

KG	Mi pedig, atyámfiai, Izsák szerint, ígéretnek gyermekei vagyunk.
AS	Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise.
KJV	Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

KG	De valamint akkor a test szerint született üldözte a Lélek szerint valót, úgy most is.
AS	But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him `that was born' after the Spirit, so also it is now.
KJV	But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

KG	De mit mond az Írás? Űzd ki a szolgálót és az ő fiát; mert a szolgáló fia nem örököl a szabad nő fiával.
AS	Howbeit what saith the scripture? Cast out the handmaid and her son: for the son of the handmaid shall not inherit with the son of the freewoman.
KJV	Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

KG	Annakokáért, atyámfiai, nem vagyunk a szolgáló fiai, hanem a szabadoséi.
AS	Wherefore, brethren, we are not children of a handmaid, but of the freewoman.
KJV	So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
