AS	O foolish Galatians, who did bewitch you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth crucified?

AS	This only would I learn from you. Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

KG	Ennyire esztelenek vagytok? amit Lélekben kezdtetek el, most testben fejeznétek be?
AS	Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now perfected in the flesh?

KG	Annyit szenvedtetek hiába? ha ugyan hiába.
AS	Did ye suffer so many things in vain? if it be indeed in vain.

KG	Annakokáért, aki a Lelket szolgáltatja néktek, és hatalmas dolgokat művel bennetek, a törvény cselekedeteiből, vagy a hit hallásából cselekeszi-é?
AS	He therefore that supplieth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, `doeth he it' by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

KG	Miképpen Ábrahám hitt az Istennek, és tulajdoníttatott néki igazságul.
AS	Even as Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness.

KG	Értsétek meg tehát, hogy akik hitből vannak, azok az Ábrahám fiai.
AS	Know therefore that they that are of faith, the same are sons of Abraham.

KG	Előre látván pedig az Írás, hogy Isten hitből fogja megigazítani a pogányokat, eleve hirdette Ábrahámnak, hogy: Te benned fognak megáldatni minden népek.
AS	And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand unto Abraham, `saying,' In thee shall all the nations be blessed.

AS	For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one who continueth not in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.

KG	Hogy pedig a törvény által senki sem igazul meg Isten előtt, nyilvánvaló, mert az igaz ember hitből él.
AS	Now that no man is justified by the law before God, is evident: for, The righteous shall live by faith;

AS	that upon the Gentiles might come the blessing of Abraham in Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

KG	Atyámfiai! ember szerint szólok. Lám az embernek megerősített testámentomát senki erőtelenné nem teszi, sem ahhoz hozzá nem ád.
AS	Brethren, I speak after the manner of men: Though it be but a man's covenant, yet when it hath been confirmed, no one maketh it void, or addeth thereto.

KG	Az ígéretek pedig Ábrahámnak adattak és az ő magvának. Nem mondja: És a magvaknak, mint sokról; hanem mint egyről: És a te magodnak, aki a Krisztus.
AS	Now to Abraham were the promises spoken, and to his seed. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

KG	Ezt mondom pedig, hogy a kötést, melyet Isten először megerősített a Krisztusra nézve, a négyszázharminc esztendő multán keletkezett törvény nem teszi erőtelenné, hogy megsemmisítse az ígéretet.
AS	Now this I say: A covenant confirmed beforehand by God, the law, which came four hundred and thirty years after, doth not disannul, so as to make the promise of none effect.
KJV	And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

KG	A közbenjáró pedig nem egyé, Isten ellenben egy.
AS	Now a mediator is not `a mediator' of one; but God is one.

KG	A törvény tehát az Isten ígéretei ellen van-é? Távol legyen! Mert ha olyan törvény adatott volna, amely képes megeleveníteni, valóban a törvényből volna az igazság.
AS	Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could make alive, verily righteousness would have been of the law.

KG	De az Írás mindent bűn alá rekesztett, hogy az ígéret Jézus Krisztusban való hitből adassék a hívőknek.
AS	But the scriptures shut up all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

KG	Ekként a törvény Krisztusra vezérlő mesterünkké lett, hogy hitből igazuljunk meg.
AS	So that the law is become our tutor `to bring us' unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

KG	De minekutána eljött a hit, nem vagyunk többé a vezérlő mester alatt.

KG	Nincs zsidó, sem görög; nincs szolga, sem szabad; nincs férfi, sem nő; mert ti mindnyájan egyek vagytok a Krisztus Jézusban.
AS	There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one `man' in Christ Jesus.
KJV	There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

KG	Ha pedig Krisztuséi vagytok, tehát az Ábrahám magva vagytok, és ígéret szerint örökösök.
AS	And if ye are Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, heirs according to promise.
KJV	And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
