KG	Én vagyok az igazi szőlőtő, és az én Atyám a szőlőműves.
KJV	I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

KG	Minden szőlővesszőt, amely én bennem gyümölcsöt nem terem, lemetsz; mindazt pedig, amely gyümölcsöt terem, megtisztítja, hogy több gyümölcsöt teremjen.
KJV	Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

KG	Ti már tiszták vagytok ama beszéd által, amelyet szóltam néktek.
KJV	Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

KG	Maradjatok én bennem és én is ti bennetek. Miképpen a szőlővessző nem teremhet gyümölcsöt magától, hanemha a szőlőtőkén marad; akképpen ti sem, hanemha én bennem maradtok.
KJV	Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

KG	Én vagyok a szőlőtő, ti a szőlővesszők: Aki én bennem marad, én pedig ő benne, az terem sok gyümölcsöt: mert nálam nélkül semmit sem cselekedhettek.
KJV	I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

KG	Ha valaki nem marad én bennem, kivettetik, mint a szőlővessző, és megszárad; és egybe gyűjtik ezeket és a tűzre vetik, és megégnek.
KJV	If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

KG	Ha én bennem maradtok, és az én beszédeim bennetek maradnak, kérjetek, amit csak akartok, és meglesz az néktek.
KJV	If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

KG	Abban dicsőíttetik meg az én Atyám, hogy sok gyümölcsöt teremjetek; és legyetek nékem tanítványaim.
KJV	Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

KG	Amiképpen az Atya szeretett engem, én is úgy szerettelek titeket: maradjatok meg ebben az én szeretetemben.
KJV	As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

KG	Ha az én parancsolataimat megtartjátok, megmaradtok az én szeretetemben; amiképpen én megtartottam az én Atyámnak parancsolatait, és megmaradok az ő szeretetében.
KJV	If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

KG	Ezeket beszéltem néktek, hogy megmaradjon ti bennetek az én örömem és a ti örömetek beteljék.
KJV	These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

KG	Ez az én parancsolatom, hogy szeressétek egymást, amiképpen én szerettelek titeket.
KJV	This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

KG	Nincsen senkiben nagyobb szeretet annál, mintha valaki életét adja az ő barátaiért.
KJV	Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

KG	Ti az én barátaim vagytok, ha azokat cselekszitek, amiket én parancsolok néktek.
KJV	Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

KG	Nem mondalak többé titeket szolgáknak; mert a szolga nem tudja, mit cselekszik az ő ura; titeket pedig barátaimnak mondottalak; mert mindazt, amit az én Atyámtól hallottam, tudtul adtam néktek.
KJV	Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

KG	Nem ti választottatok engem, hanem én választottalak titeket, és én rendeltelek titeket, hogy ti elmenjetek és gyümölcsöt teremjetek, és a ti gyümölcsötök megmaradjon; hogy akármit kértek az Atyától az én nevemben, megadja néktek.
KJV	Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

KG	Ezeket parancsolom néktek, hogy egymást szeressétek.
KJV	These things I command you, that ye love one another.

KG	Ha gyűlöl titeket a világ, tudjátok meg, hogy engem elébb gyűlölt ti nálatoknál.
KJV	If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

KG	Ha e világból volnátok, a világ szeretné azt, ami az övé; de mivelhogy nem vagytok e világból, hanem én választottalak ki magamnak titeket e világból, azért gyűlöl titeket a világ.
KJV	If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

KG	Emlékezzetek meg ama beszédekről, amelyeket én mondtam néktek: Nem nagyobb a szolga az ő uránál. Ha engem üldöztek, titeket is üldöznek majd; ha az én beszédemet megtartották, a tiéteket is megtartják majd.
KJV	Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

KG	De mindezt az én nevemért cselekszik veletek, mivelhogy nem ismerik azt, aki küldött engem.
KJV	But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

KG	Ha nem jöttem volna és nem beszéltem volna nékik, nem volna bűnük: de most nincs mivel menteniök az ő bűnöket.
KJV	If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin.

KG	Aki engem gyűlöl, gyűlöli az én Atyámat is.
KJV	He that hateth me hateth my Father also.

KG	Ha ama cselekedeteket nem cselekedtem volna közöttük, amelyeket senki más nem cselekedett, nem volna bűnük; de most láttak is, gyűlöltek is, mind engem, mind az én Atyámat.
KJV	If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

KG	De azért lőn így, hogy beteljesedjék a mondás, amely megiratott az ő törvényökben: Ok nélkül gyűlöltek engem.
KJV	But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

KG	Mikor pedig eljő majd a Vígasztaló, akit én küldök néktek az Atyától, az igazságnak Lelke, aki az Atyától származik, az tesz majd én rólam bizonyságot.
KJV	But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

KG	De ti is bizonyságot tesztek; mert kezdettől fogva én velem vagytok.
KJV	And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
