AS	Let my prayer enter into thy presence; Incline thine ear unto my cry.

KG	Jusson elődbe imádságom, hajtsad füled az én kiáltozásomra!
AS	For my soul is full of troubles, And my life draweth nigh unto Sheol.

KG	Mert betelt a lelkem nyomorúságokkal, és életem a Seolig jutott.
AS	I am reckoned with them that go down into the pit; I am as a man that hath no help,

KG	Hasonlatossá lettem a sírba szállókhoz; olyan vagyok, mint az erejevesztett ember.
AS	Cast off among the dead, Like the slain that lie in the grave, Whom thou rememberest no more, And they are cut off from thy hand.

KG	A holtak közt van az én helyem, mint a megölteknek, akik koporsóban feküsznek, akikről többé nem emlékezel, mert elszakasztattak a te kezedtől.

KG	Mély sírba vetettél be engem, sötétségbe, örvények közé.

KG	A te haragod reám nehezedett, és minden haboddal nyomtál engem. Szela.

KG	Elszakasztottad ismerőseimet tőlem, útálattá tettél előttök engem; berekesztettem és ki nem jöhetek.

KG	Szemem megsenyvedett a nyomorúság miatt; kiáltalak téged Uram minden napon, hozzád terjengetem kezeimet.

KG	Avagy a holtakkal teszel-é csodát? Felkelnek-é vajjon az árnyak, hogy dicsérjenek téged? Szela.

KG	Beszélik-é a koporsóban a te kegyelmedet, hűségedet a pusztulás helyén?

KG	Megtudhatják-é a sötétségben a te csodáidat, és igazságodat a feledékenység földén?

KG	De én hozzád rimánkodom, Uram, és jó reggel elédbe jut az én imádságom:

KG	Miért vetsz el hát Uram engem, és rejted el orcádat én tőlem?
AS	I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: While I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.

KG	Nyomorult és holteleven vagyok ifjúságomtól kezdve; viselem a te rettentéseidet, roskadozom.

KG	Általmentek rajtam a te búsulásaid; a te szorongatásaid elemésztettek engem.
