KG	Együgyűeknek eszesség, gyermeknek tudomány és meggondolás adására.
AS	To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion:

KG	Hallja a bölcs és öregbítse az ő tanulságát, és az értelmes szerezzen érett tanácsokat.
AS	That the wise man may hear, and increase in learning; And that the man of understanding may attain unto sound counsels:

KG	Példabeszédnek és példázatnak, bölcsek beszédeinek és találós meséinek megértésére.
AS	To understand a proverb, and a figure, The words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

KG	Az Úrnak félelme feje a bölcseségnek; a bölcseséget és erkölcsi tanítást a bolondok megútálják.
AS	The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; `But' the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.

KG	Míglen szeretitek, oh ti együgyűek az együgyűséget, és gyönyörködnek a csúfolók csúfolásban, és gyűlölik a balgatagok a tudományt?!
AS	How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And scoffers delight them in scoffing, And fools hate knowledge?

KG	Térjetek az én dorgálásomhoz; ímé közlöm veletek az én lelkemet, tudtotokra adom az én beszédimet néktek.

AS	When your fear cometh as a storm, And your calamity cometh on as a whirlwind; When distress and anguish come upon you.

AS	Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own devices.
