KG	Ezeket beszéltem néktek, hogy meg ne botránkozzatok.
AS	These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be caused to stumble.

KG	A gyülekezetekből kirekesztenek titeket; sőt jön idő, hogy aki öldököl titeket, mind azt hiszi, hogy isteni tiszteletet cselekszik.
AS	They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you shall think that he offereth service unto God.
KJV	They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

KG	És ezeket azért cselekszik veletek, mert nem ismerték meg az Atyát, sem engem.
AS	And these things will they do, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
KJV	And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

KG	Ezeket pedig azért beszéltem néktek, hogy amikor eljő az az idő, megemlékezzetek róluk, hogy én mondtam néktek. De ezeket kezdettől fogva nem mondottam néktek, mivelhogy veletek valék.
AS	But these things have I spoken unto you, that when their hour is come, ye may remember them, how that I told you. And these things I said not unto you from the beginning, because I was with you.
KJV	But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

KG	Most pedig elmegyek ahhoz, aki küldött engem; és senki sem kérdezi tőlem közületek: Hová mégy?
AS	But now I go unto him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?
KJV	But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

KG	Hanem, mivelhogy ezeket beszéltem néktek, a szomorúság eltöltötte a szíveteket.
AS	But because I have spoken these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.
KJV	But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

KG	De én az igazat mondom néktek: Jobb néktek, hogy én elmenjek: mert ha el nem megyek, nem jő el hozzátok a Vígasztaló: ha pedig elmegyek, elküldöm azt ti hozzátok.
AS	Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you.
KJV	Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

KG	És az, mikor eljő, megfeddi a világot bűn, igazság és ítélet tekintetében:
AS	And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
KJV	And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

KG	Bűn tekintetében, hogy nem hisznek én bennem;
AS	of sin, because they believe not on me;
KJV	Of sin, because they believe not on me;

KG	És igazság tekintetében, hogy én az én Atyámhoz megyek, és többé nem láttok engem;
AS	of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye behold me no more;
KJV	Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

KG	Ítélet tekintetében pedig, hogy e világnak fejedelme megítéltetett.
AS	of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged.
KJV	Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

KG	Még sok mondani valóm van hozzátok, de most el nem hordozhatjátok.
AS	I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
KJV	I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

KG	De mikor eljő amaz, az igazságnak Lelke, elvezérel majd titeket minden igazságra. Mert nem ő magától szól, hanem azokat szólja, amiket hall, és a bekövetkezendőket megjelenti néktek.
AS	Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, `these' shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come.
KJV	Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

KG	Az engem dicsőít majd, mert az enyémből vesz, és megjelenti néktek.
AS	He shall glorify me: for he shall take of mine, and shall declare `it' unto you.
KJV	He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

KG	Mindaz, ami az Atyáé, az enyém: azért mondám, hogy az enyémből vesz, és megjelenti néktek.
AS	All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall declare `it' unto you.
KJV	All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

KG	Egy kevés idő, és nem láttok engem; és ismét egy kevés idő, és megláttok majd engem: mert én az Atyához megyek.
AS	A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me.
KJV	A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

KG	Mondának azért az ő tanítványai közül egymásnak: Mi az, amit nékünk mond: Egy kevés idő, és nem láttok engem; és ismét egy kevés idő, és megláttok majd engem; és: mert én az Atyához megyek?
AS	`Some' of his disciples therefore said one to another, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye behold me not; and again a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
KJV	Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

KG	Mondának azért: Mi az a kevés idő, amiről szól? Nem tudjuk, mit mond.
AS	They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? We know not what he saith.
KJV	They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.

KG	Megérté azért Jézus, hogy őt akarnák megkérdezni, és monda nékik: Arról tudakozzátok-é egymást, hogy azt mondám: Egy kevés idő, és nem láttok engem; és ismét egy kevés idő, és megláttok majd engem?
AS	Jesus perceived that they were desirous to ask him, and he said unto them, Do ye inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, A little while, and ye behold me not, and again a little while, and ye shall see me?
KJV	Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?

KG	Bizony, bizony mondom néktek, hogy sírtok és jajgattok ti, a világ pedig örül: ti szomorkodtok, hanem a ti szomorúságtok örömre fordul.
AS	Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
KJV	Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

KG	Az asszony mikor szűl, szomorúságban van, mert eljött az ő órája: de mikor megszűli az ő gyermekét, nem emlékezik többé a kínra az öröm miatt, hogy ember született e világra.
AS	A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but when she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for the joy that a man is born into the world.

KG	Ti is azért most ugyan szomorúságban vagytok, de ismét meglátlak majd titeket, és örülni fog a ti szívetek, és senki el nem veszi tőletek a ti örömeteket.
AS	And ye therefore now have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you.
KJV	And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

KG	És azon a napon nem kérdeztek majd engem semmiről. Bizony, bizony mondom néktek, hogy amit csak kérni fogtok az Atyától az én nevemben, megadja néktek.
AS	And in that day ye shall ask me no question. Verily, verily, I say unto you, if ye shall ask anything of the Father, he will give it you in my name.
KJV	And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

KG	Mostanáig semmit sem kértetek az Atyától az én nevemben: kérjetek és megkapjátok, hogy a ti örömetek teljes legyen.
AS	Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be made full.
KJV	Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

KG	Ezeket példázatokban mondottam néktek; de eljő az idő, mikor nem példázatokban beszélek majd néktek, hanem nyiltan beszélek néktek az Atyáról.
AS	These things have I spoken unto you in dark sayings: the hour cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in dark sayings, but shall tell you plainly of the Father.
KJV	These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

KG	Azon a napon az én nevemben kértek majd: és nem mondom néktek, hogy én kérni fogom az Atyát ti érettetek;
AS	In that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you;
KJV	At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

KG	Mert maga az Atya szeret titeket, mivelhogy ti szerettetek engem, és elhittétek, hogy én az Istentől jöttem ki.
AS	for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father.
KJV	For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

KG	Kijöttem az Atyától, és jöttem e világba: ismét elhagyom e világot, és elmegyek az Atyához.
AS	I came out from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go unto the Father.
KJV	I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

KG	Mondának néki az ő tanítványai: Ímé, most nyiltan beszélsz és semmi példázatot nem mondasz.
AS	His disciples say, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no dark saying.
KJV	His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.

KG	Most tudjuk, hogy te mindent tudsz, és nincs szükséged arra, hogy valaki téged megkérdezzen: erről hisszük, hogy az Istentől jöttél ki.
AS	Now know we that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
KJV	Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

KG	Felele nékik Jézus: Most hiszitek?
AS	Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?

KG	Ímé eljő az óra, és immár eljött, hogy szétoszoljatok kiki az övéihez, és engem egyedül hagyjatok; de nem vagyok egyedül, mert az Atya velem van.
AS	Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and `yet' I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

KG	Azért beszéltem ezeket néktek, hogy békességetek legyen én bennem. E világon nyomorúságtok lészen; de bízzatok: én meggyőztem a világot.
AS	These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
