AS	Now Jehovah said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto the land that I will show thee:

AS	and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make they name great; and be thou a blessing;

KG	És megáldom azokat, akik téged áldanak, és aki téged átkoz, megátkozom azt: és megáldatnak te benned a föld minden nemzetségei.
AS	and I will bless them that bless thee, and him that curseth thee will I curse: and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

KG	És kiméne Ábrám, amint az Úr mondotta vala néki, és Lót is kiméne ő vele: Ábrám pedig hetvenöt esztendős vala, mikor kiméne Háránból.
AS	So Abram went, as Jehovah had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

KG	És felvevé Ábrám az ő feleségét Szárait, és Lótot, az ő atyjafiának fiát, és minden szerzeményöket, amelyet szereztek vala, és a cselédeket, akikre Háránban tettek vala szert, és elindulának, hogy Kanaán földére menjenek, és el is jutának a Kanaán földére.
AS	And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.

KG	És általméne Ábrám a földön mind Sikhem vidékéig, Móréh tölgyeséig. Akkor Kananeusok valának azon a földön.
AS	And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Shechem, unto the oak of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.

KG	És megjelenék az Úr Ábrámnak, és monda néki: A te magodnak adom ezt a földet. És Ábrám oltárt építe ott az Úrnak; aki megjelent vala néki.
AS	And Jehovah appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto Jehovah, who appeared unto him.

KG	Onnan azután a hegység felé méne Bétheltől keletre és felüté sátorát: Béthel vala nyugatra, Hái pedig keletre, és ott oltárt építe az Úrnak, és segítségűl hívá az Úr nevét.
AS	And he removed from thence unto the mountain on the east of Beth-el, and pitched his tent, having Beth-el on the west, and Ai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto Jehovah, and called upon the name of Jehovah.

KG	És tovább költözék Ábrám; folyton délfelé húzódván.
AS	And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the South.

KG	Azonban éhség lőn az országban, és Ábrám aláméne Égyiptomba, hogy ott tartózkodjék, mert nagy vala az éhség az országban.
AS	And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was sore in the land.

KG	És lőn mikor közel vala, hogy bemenjen Égyiptomba, monda feleségének Szárainak: Ímé tudom, hogy szép ábrázatú asszony vagy.
AS	And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon:

KG	Azért mikor meglátnak téged az égyiptomiak, majd azt mondják: felesége ez; és engem megölnek, téged pedig életben tartanak.
AS	and it will come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they will say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.
KJV	Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.

KG	Mondd azért, kérlek, hogy húgom vagy; hogy jól legyen dolgom miattad, s életben maradjak te éretted.
AS	Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister; that it may be well with me for thy sake, and that my soul may live because of thee.

KG	És lőn mikor Ábrám Égyiptomba érkezék, láták az égyiptomiak az asszonyt, hogy az nagyon szép.
AS	And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.

KG	Mikor megláták őt a Faraó főemberei, magasztalák a Faraó előtt és elvivék az asszonyt a Faraó udvarába.
AS	And the princes of Pharaoh saw her, and praised her to Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.
KJV	The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.

KG	És jól tőn érette Ábrámmal, és valának juhai, ökrei, szamarai, szolgái, szolgálói, nőstényszamarai és tevéi.
AS	And he dealt well with Abram for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he-asses, and men-servants, and maid-servants, and she-asses, and camels.
KJV	And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels.

KG	De megveré az Úr a Faraót és az ő házát nagy csapásokkal, Száraiért, Ábrám feleségéért.
AS	And Jehovah plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.

KG	Hívatá azért a Faraó Ábrámot és monda: Miért mívelted ezt velem? Miért nem mondottad meg énnékem, hogy ez néked feleséged?
AS	And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?

KG	Miért mondottad: Húgom ő; azért vevém magamnak feleségűl. Most már imhol a te feleséged, vedd magadhoz és menj el.
AS	why saidst thou, She is my sister, so that I took her to be my wife? now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.

KG	És parancsola felőle a Faraó némely embereknek, akik elbocsáták őtet és az ő feleségét, és mindenét amije vala.
AS	And Pharaoh gave men charge concerning him: and they brought him on the way, and his wife, and all that he had.
