KG	Festus tehát, miután bement a tartományba, három nap mulva felméne Jeruzsálembe Cézáreából.
AS	Festus therefore, having come into the province, after three days went up to Jerusalem from Caesarea.
KJV	Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.

KG	Panaszt tőnek pedig néki a főpap és a zsidók főemberei Pál ellen, és kérék őt,
AS	And the chief priests and the principal men of the Jews informed him against Paul; and they besought him,
KJV	Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him,

KG	Kérvén magok számára jóindulatát ő ellene, hogy hozassa át őt Jeruzsálembe, lest vetvén, hogy megölhessék őt az úton.
AS	asking a favor against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem; laying a plot to kill him on the way.
KJV	And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.

KG	Festus azonban azt felelé, hogy Pált Cézáreában őrzik, ő maga pedig csakhamar ki fog menni:
AS	Howbeit Festus answered, that Paul was kept in charge at Caesarea, and that he himself was about to depart `thither' shortly.
KJV	But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.

KG	Akik azért köztetek, úgymond, főemberek, velem alájővén, ha valami gonoszság van abban a férfiúban, emeljenek vádat ellene.
AS	Let them therefore, saith he, that are of power among you go down with me, and if there is anything amiss in the man, let them accuse him.
KJV	Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.

KG	Miután pedig tíz napnál tovább időzött közöttük, lemenvén Cézáreába, másnap ítélőszékibe üle, és Pált előhozatá.
AS	And when he had tarried among them not more than eight or ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and on the morrow he sat on the judgment-seat, and commanded Paul to be brought.
KJV	And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat commanded Paul to be brought.

KG	Mikor pedig az megjelent, körülállák a zsidók, kik alámentek vala Jeruzsálemből, sok és súlyos vádat hozván fel Pál ellen, melyeket nem bírtak bebizonyítani;
AS	And when he was come, the Jews that had come down from Jerusalem stood round about him, bringing against him many and grievous charges which they could not prove;
KJV	And when he was come, the Jews which came down from Jerusalem stood round about, and laid many and grievous complaints against Paul, which they could not prove.

KG	Mivelhogy ő a maga mentségére ezt feleli vala: Sem a zsidók törvénye ellen, sem a templom ellen, sem a császár ellen semmit sem vétettem.
AS	while Paul said in his defense, Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar, have I sinned at all.
KJV	While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.

KG	Festus pedig a zsidóknak kedveskedni akarván, felelvén Pálnak, monda: Akarsz-é Jeruzsálembe felmenni és ott ítéltetni meg ezekről én előttem?
AS	But Festus, desiring to gain favor with the Jews, answered Paul and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?
KJV	But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said, Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?

KG	Pál azonban monda: A császár ítélőszéke előtt állok, itt kell nékem megítéltetnem. A zsidóknak semmit sem vétettem, miként te is jól tudod.
AS	But Paul said, I am standing before Caesar's judgment-seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou also very well knowest.
KJV	Then said Paul, I stand at Caesar's judgment seat, where I ought to be judged: to the Jews have I done no wrong, as thou very well knowest.

KG	Mert ha vétkes vagyok és valami halálra méltót cselekedtem, nem vonakodom a haláltól; ha azonban semmi sincs azokban, amikkel ezek vádolnak engem, senki sem ajándékozhat oda engem azoknak. A császárra appellálok!
AS	If then I am a wrong-doer, and have committed anything worthy of death, I refuse not to die; but if none of those things is `true' whereof these accuse me, no man can give me up unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.
KJV	For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto Caesar.

KG	Akkor Festus tanácsával értekezvén, felele: A császárra appelláltál, a császár elé fogsz menni!
AS	Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Thou hast appealed unto Caesar: unto Caesar shalt thou go.
KJV	Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Hast thou appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shalt thou go.

KG	Néhány nap elmúltával pedig Agrippa király és Bernicé érkezék Cézáreába, hogy köszöntsék Festust.
AS	Now when certain days were passed, Agrippa the King and Bernice arrived at Caesarea, and saluted Festus.
KJV	And after certain days king Agrippa and Bernice came unto Caesarea to salute Festus.

KG	Mikor pedig több napig időztek ott, Festus elébe adá a királynak a Pál dolgát, mondván: Van itt egy férfiú, kit Félix hagyott fogva.
AS	And as they tarried there many days, Festus laid Paul's case before the King, saying, There is a certain man left a prisoner by Felix;
KJV	And when they had been there many days, Festus declared Paul's cause unto the king, saying, There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix:

KG	Ki felől, mikor Jeruzsálembe mentem, jelentést tőnek a főpapok és a zsidóknak vénei, kérve ő ellene ítéletet.
AS	about whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed `me', asking for sentence against him.
KJV	About whom, when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me, desiring to have judgment against him.

KG	Kiknek azt felelém, hogy nem szokásuk a rómaiaknak, hogy valamely embert halálra adjanak, mielőtt a vádlott szembe nem állíttatik vádlóival, és alkalmat nem nyer a vád felől való mentségére.
AS	To whom I answered, that it is not the custom of the Romans to give up any man, before that the accused have the accusers face to face, and have had opportunity to make his defense concerning the matter laid against him.
KJV	To whom I answered, It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face, and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.

KG	Mikor azért ők ide gyűltek, minden haladék nélkül másnap az ítélőszékbe ülvén, előhozatám azt a férfiút,
AS	When therefore they were come together here, I made no delay, but on the next day sat on the judgment-seat, and commanded the man to be brought.
KJV	Therefore, when they were come hither, without any delay on the morrow I sat on the judgment seat, and commanded the man to be brought forth.

KG	Ki ellen, mikor vádlói előálltak, semmi bűnt nem hoztak fel azok közül, amiket én sejtettem:
AS	Concerning whom, when the accusers stood up, they brought no charge of such evil things as I supposed;
KJV	Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed:

KG	Hanem valami vitás kérdéseik valának ő vele az ő tulajdon babonaságuk felől, és bizonyos megholt Jézus felől, kiről Pál azt állítja vala, hogy él.
AS	but had certain questions against him of their own religion, and of one Jesus, who was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.
KJV	But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.

KG	Én pedig bizonytalanságban lévén az e felől való vitára nézve, kérdém, vajjon akar-é Jeruzsálembe menni, és ott ítéltetni meg ezek felől.
AS	And I, being perplexed how to inquire concerning these things, asked whether he would go to Jerusalem and there be judged of these matters.
KJV	And because I doubted of such manner of questions, I asked him whether he would go to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these matters.

KG	Pál azonban appellálván, hogy ő Augustus döntésére tartassék fenn, parancsolám, hogy tartassék fogva, míg őt a császárhoz nem küldhetem.
AS	But when Paul had appealed to be kept for the decision of the emperor, I commanded him to be kept till I should send him to Caesar.
KJV	But when Paul had appealed to be reserved unto the hearing of Augustus, I commanded him to be kept till I might send him to Caesar.

KG	Agrippa pedig monda Festusnak: Szeretném magam is azt az embert hallani. Ő pedig monda: Holnap meg fogod őt hallani.
AS	And Agrippa `said' unto Festus, I also could wish to hear the man myself. To-morrow, saith he, thou shalt hear him.
KJV	Then Agrippa said unto Festus, I would also hear the man myself. To morrow, said he, thou shalt hear him.

KG	Másnap tehát eljővén Agrippa és Bernicé nagy pompával, és bemenvén a kihallgatási terembe az ezredesekkel és a város főfőpolgáraival együtt, Festus parancsolatjára előhozák Pált.
AS	So on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and they were entered into the place of hearing with the chief captains and principal men of the city, at the command of Festus Paul was brought in.
KJV	And on the morrow, when Agrippa was come, and Bernice, with great pomp, and was entered into the place of hearing, with the chief captains, and principal men of the city, at Festus' commandment Paul was brought forth.

KG	És monda Festus: Agrippa király, és ti férfiak mindnyájan, kik velünk egybe itt vagytok! Látjátok őt, ki felől a zsidóknak egész sokasága megkeresett engem, mind Jeruzsálemben, mind itt, azt kiáltva, hogy nem kell néki tovább élnie.
AS	And Festus saith, King Agrippa, and all men who are here present with us, ye behold this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews made suit to me, both at Jerusalem and here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.
KJV	And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and also here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.

KG	Én pedig, ámbár megértém, hogy semmi halálra méltó dolgot sem cselekedett, de mivel éppen ő maga appellált Augustusra, elvégeztem, hogy elküldöm őt.
AS	But I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death: and as he himself appealed to the emperor I determined to send him.
KJV	But when I found that he had committed nothing worthy of death, and that he himself hath appealed to Augustus, I have determined to send him.

KG	Ki felől nem tudok valami bizonyost írni az én uramnak. Ezért hoztam őt előtökbe, és kiváltképpen te elődbe, Agrippa király, hogy a kihallgatás megtörténtével tudjak mit írni.
AS	Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I may have somewhat to write.
KJV	Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.

KG	Mert esztelen dolognak látszik nékem, hogy aki foglyot küld, az ellene való vádakat is meg ne jelentse.
AS	For it seemeth to me unreasonable, in sending a prisoner, not withal to signify the charges against him.
KJV	For it seemeth to me unreasonable to send a prisoner, and not withal to signify the crimes laid against him.
