KG	És ezt mondják: Hol van az ő eljövetelének ígérete? Mert amióta az atyák elhunytak, minden azonképpen marad a teremtés kezdetétől fogva.

AS	but the heavens that now are, and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

KG	De új eget és új földet várunk az ő ígérete szerint, amelyekben igazság lakozik.
AS	But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

KG	Annakokáért szeretteim, ezeket várván, igyekezzetek, hogy szeplő nélkül és hiba nélkül valóknak találjon titeket békességben.
AS	Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for these things, give diligence that ye may be found in peace, without spot and blameless in his sight.
