KG	Én is, mikor hozzátok mentem, atyámfiai, nem mentem, hogy nagy ékesszólással, avagy bölcseséggel hirdessem néktek az Isten bizonyságtételét.

KG	Hogy a ti hitetek ne emberek bölcseségén, hanem Istennek erején nyugodjék.
AS	that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

KG	Bölcseséget pedig a tökéletesek között szólunk; ámde nem e világnak, sem e világ veszendő fejedelmeinek bölcseségét;
AS	We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:

KG	Hanem Istennek titkon való bölcseségét szóljuk, azt az elrejtettet, melyet öröktől fogva elrendelt az Isten a mi dicsőségünkre;

KG	Melyet e világ fejedelmei közül senki sem ismert, mert ha megismerték volna, nem feszítették volna meg a dicsőség Urát:

KG	Hanem, amint meg van írva: Amiket szem nem látott, fül nem hallott és embernek szíve meg se gondolt, amiket Isten készített az őt szeretőknek.
AS	but as it is written, Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, And `which' entered not into the heart of man, Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him.

KG	Nekünk azonban az Isten kijelentette az ő Lelke által: mert a Lélek mindeneket vizsgál, még az Istennek mélységeit is.

KG	Mert kicsoda tudja az emberek közül az ember dolgait, hanemha az embernek lelke, amely ő benne van? Azonképpen az Isten dolgait sem ismeri senki, hanemha az Istennek Lelke.
AS	For who among men knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of the man, which is in him? even so the things of God none knoweth, save the Spirit of God.

KG	Mi pedig nem e világnak lelkét vettük, hanem az Istenből való Lelket; hogy megismerjük azokat, amiket Isten ajándékozott nékünk.
AS	But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.

KG	Érzéki ember pedig nem foghatja meg az Isten Lelkének dolgait: mert bolondságok néki; meg sem értheti, mivelhogy lelkiképpen ítéltetnek meg.
AS	Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.

KG	A lelki ember azonban mindent megítél, de ő senkitől sem ítéltetik meg.

KG	Mert ki érte fel az Úrnak értelmét, hogy megoktathatná őt? Bennünk pedig Krisztus értelme van.
