KG	Minden férfiú, aki befedett fővel imádkozik avagy prófétál, megcsúfolja az ő fejét.

KG	Minden asszony pedig, aki befedetlen fővel imádkozik avagy prófétál, megcsúfolja az ő fejét, mert egy és ugyanaz, mintha megnyiretett volna.
AS	But every woman praying or prophesying with her head unveiled dishonoreth her head; for it is one and the same thing as if she were shaven.
KJV	But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

KG	Mert ha az asszony nem fedi be fejét, nyiretkezzék is meg, hogy ha pedig éktelen dolog asszonynak megnyiretkezni, vagy megberetváltatni, fedezze be az ő fejét.
AS	For if a woman is not veiled, let her also be shorn: but if it is a shame to a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be veiled.

KG	Mert a férfiúnak nem kell befednie az ő fejét, mivel ő az Istennek képe és dicsősége; de az asszony a férfiú dicsősége.
AS	For a man indeed ought not to have his head veiled, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

KG	Mert nem a férfiú van az asszonyból, hanem az asszony a férfiúból.

KG	Ezért kell az asszonynak hatalmi jelt viselni a fején az angyalok miatt.
AS	for this cause ought the woman to have `a sign of' authority on her head, because of the angels.

KG	Mindazáltal sem férfiú nincs asszony nélkül, sem asszony férfiú nélkül az Úrban.

KG	Mert amiképpen az asszony a férfiúból van, azonképpen a férfiú is az asszony által, az egész pedig az Istentől.

KG	Magatokban ítéljétek meg: illendő dolog-é asszonynak fedetlen fővel imádni az Istent?

KG	Avagy maga a természet is nem arra tanít-é titeket, hogy ha a férfiú nagy hajat visel, csúfsága az néki?
AS	Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a dishonor to him?
KJV	Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

KG	Az asszonynak pedig, ha nagy haja van, ékesség az néki; mert a haj fátyol gyanánt adatott néki.
AS	But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

KG	Ha pedig valakinek tetszik versengeni, nekünk olyan szokásunk nincsen, sem az Isten gyülekezeteinek.
AS	But if any man seemeth to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

KG	Ezt pedig tudtotokra adván, nem dícsérlek, hogy nem haszonnal, hanem kárral gyűltök egybe.
AS	But in giving you this charge, I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better but for the worse.
KJV	Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.

KG	Mert először is, mikor egybegyűltök a gyülekezetben, hallom, hogy szakadások vannak köztetek; és valami részben hiszem is.
AS	For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and I partly believe it.

KG	Mert szükség, hogy szakadások is legyenek köztetek, hogy a kipróbáltak nyilvánvalókká legyenek ti köztetek.
AS	For there must be also factions among you, that they that are approved may be made manifest among you.

KG	Mikor tehát egybegyűltök egyazon helyre, nincs úrvacsorájával való élés:
AS	When therefore ye assemble yourselves together, it is not possible to eat the Lord's supper:

KG	Mert kiki az ő saját vacsoráját veszi elő az evésnél; és némely éhezik, némely pedig dőzsöl.
AS	for in your eating each one taketh before `other' his own supper; and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

KG	Hát nincsenek-é házaitok az evésre és ivásra? Avagy az Isten gyülekezetét vetitek-é meg, és azokat szégyenítitek-é meg, akiknek nincsen? Mit mondjak néktek? Dícsérjelek-é titeket ebben? Nem dícsérlek.
AS	What, have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and put them to shame that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you? In this I praise you not.

AS	For I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which he was betrayed took bread;

KG	És hálákat adván, megtörte és ezt mondotta: Vegyétek, egyétek! Ez az én testem, mely ti érettetek megtöretik; ezt cselekedjétek az én emlékezetemre.
AS	and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, This is my body, which is for you: this do in remembrance of me.
KJV	And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

KG	Hasonlatosképpen a pohárt is vette, minekutána vacsorált volna, ezt mondván: E pohár amaz új testamentom az én vérem által; ezt cselekedjétek, valamennyiszer isszátok az én emlékezetemre.
AS	In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink `it', in remembrance of me.
KJV	After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

KG	Mert valamennyiszer eszitek e kenyeret és isszátok e pohárt, az Úrnak halálát hirdessétek, amíg eljövend.
AS	For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye proclaim the Lord's death till he come.
KJV	For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

KG	Azért aki méltatlanul eszi e kenyeret, vagy issza az Úrnak poharát, vétkezik az Úr teste és vére ellen.
AS	Wherefore whosoever shall eat the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
KJV	Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

KG	Próbálja meg azért az ember magát, és úgy egyék abból a kenyérből, és úgy igyék abból a pohárból,
AS	But let a man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.

AS	For he that eateth and drinketh, eateth and drinketh judgment unto himself, if he discern not the body.

KG	Ezért van ti köztetek sok erőtlen és beteg, és alusznak sokan.
AS	For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.

KG	Mert ha mi ítélnők magunkat, nem ítéltetnénk el.
AS	But if we discerned ourselves, we should not be judged.

KG	De mikor ítéltetünk, az Úrtól taníttatunk, hogy a világgal együtt el ne kárhoztassunk.
AS	But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

KG	Azért atyámfiai, mikor egybegyűltök az evésre, egymást megvárjátok.
AS	Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, wait one for another.

KG	Ha pedig valaki éhezik, otthon egyék, hogy ítéletre ne gyűljetek egybe. A többire nézve, majd ha hozzátok megyek, rendelkezem.
AS	If any man is hungry, let him eat at home; that your coming together be not unto judgment. And the rest will I set in order whensoever I come.
KJV	And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
