KG	Mi tekintetben különb hát a zsidó? vagy micsoda haszna van a körülmetélkedésnek?
KJV	What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

KG	Minden tekintetben sok. Mindenek előtt, hogy az Isten reájok bízta az ő beszédeit.
KJV	Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

KG	De hát hogy ha némelyek nem hittek? Vajjon azoknak hitetlensége nem teszi-é hiábavalóvá az Istennek hűségét?
KJV	For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

KG	Távol legyen. Sőt inkább az Isten legyen igaz, minden ember pedig hazug, amint meg van írva: Hogy igaznak ítéltessél a te beszédeidben, és győzedelmes légy, mikor vádolnak téged.
KJV	God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

KG	Ha pedig a mi igazságtalanságunk az Istennek igazságát mutatja meg, mit mondjunk? Vajjon igazságtalan-é az Isten, hogy minket büntet? Emberi módon szólok.
KJV	But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)

KG	Távol legyen! Mert akkor mi módon ítéli meg az Isten a világot?
KJV	God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

KG	Mert ha az Istennek igazsága az én hazugságom által öregbült az ő dicsőségére, miért kárhoztattatom még én is, mint bűnös?
KJV	For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

KG	Sőt inkább ne cselekedjük-é a rosszat, hogy abból jó származzék? – amint minket rágalmaznak, és amint némelyek mondogatják, hogy mi így beszélünk, akiknek kárhoztatása igazságos.
KJV	And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

KG	Micsoda tehát? Különbek vagyunk-é? Semmiképpen nem. Mert az elébb megmutattuk nyilván, hogy zsidók és görögök mindnyájan bűn alatt vannak;
KJV	What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

KG	Amint meg van írva, hogy nincsen csak egy igaz is;
KJV	As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

KG	Nincs, aki megértse, nincs, aki keresse az Istent.
KJV	There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

KG	Mindnyájan elhajlottak, egyetemben haszontalanokká lettek; nincs, aki jót cselekedjék, nincsen csak egy is.
KJV	They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

KG	Nyitott sír az ő torkuk; nyelvökkel álnokságot szólnak; áspis kígyó mérge van ajkaik alatt.
KJV	Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

KG	Szájok telve átkozódással és keserűséggel.
KJV	Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

KG	Lábaik gyorsak a vérontásra.
KJV	Their feet are swift to shed blood:

KG	Útjaikon romlás és nyomorúság van.
KJV	Destruction and misery are in their ways:

KG	És a békességnek útját nem ismerik.
KJV	And the way of peace have they not known:

KG	Nincs isteni félelem az ő szemök előtt.
KJV	There is no fear of God before their eyes.

KG	Tudjuk pedig, hogy amit a törvény mond, azoknak mondja, akik a törvény alatt vannak; hogy minden száj bedugassék, és az egész világ Isten ítélete alá essék.
KJV	Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

KG	Annakokáért a törvénynek cselekedeteiből egy test sem igazul meg ő előtte: mert a bűn ismerete a törvény által vagyon.
KJV	Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

KG	Most pedig törvény nélkül jelent meg az Istennek igazsága, amelyről tanúbizonyságot tesznek a törvény és a próféták;
KJV	But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

KG	Istennek igazsága pedig a Jézus Krisztusban való hit által mindazokhoz és mindazoknak, akik hisznek. Mert nincs különbség,
KJV	Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

KG	Mert mindnyájan vétkeztek, és szűkölködnek az Isten dicsősége nélkül.
KJV	For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

KG	Megigazulván ingyen az ő kegyelméből a Krisztus Jézusban való váltság által,
KJV	Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

KG	Kit az Isten eleve rendelt engesztelő áldozatul, hit által, az ő vérében, hogy megmutassa az ő igazságát az előbb elkövetett bűnöknek elnézése miatt,
KJV	Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

KG	Az Isten hosszútűrésénél fogva, az ő igazságának megbizonyítására, a mostani időben, hogy igaz legyen Ő és megigazítsa azt, aki a Jézus hitéből való.
KJV	To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

KG	Hol van tehát a dicsekedés? Kirekesztetett. Mely törvény által? A cselekedeteké által? Nem; hanem a hit törvénye által.
KJV	Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

KG	Azt tartjuk tehát, hogy az ember hit által igazul meg, a törvény cselekedetei nélkül.
KJV	Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

KG	Avagy Isten csak a zsidóké-e? Avagy nem a pogányoké is? Bizony a pogányoké is.
KJV	Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

KG	Mivelhogy egy az Isten, aki megigazítja a zsidót hitből és a pogányt hit által.
KJV	Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

KG	A törvényt tehát hiábavalóvá tesszük-é a hit által? Távol legyen! Sőt inkább a törvényt megerősítjük.
KJV	Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
