KG	Vigyázzatok, hogy alamizsnátokat ne osztogassátok az emberek előtt, hogy lássanak titeket; mert különben nem lesz jutalmatok a ti mennyei Atyátoknál.
KJV	Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

KG	Azért mikor alamizsnát osztogatsz, ne kürtöltess magad előtt, ahogy a képmutatók tesznek a zsinagógákban és az utcákon, hogy az emberektől dícséretet nyerjenek. Bizony mondom néktek: elvették jutalmukat.
KJV	Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

KG	Te pedig amikor alamizsnát osztogatsz, ne tudja a te bal kezed, mit cselekszik a te jobb kezed;
KJV	But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

KG	Hogy a te alamizsnád titkon legyen; és a te Atyád, aki titkon néz, megfizet néked nyilván.
KJV	That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

KG	És mikor imádkozol, ne légy olyan, mint a képmutatók, akik a gyülekezetekben és az utcák szegeletein fenállva szeretnek imádkozni, hogy lássák őket az emberek. Bizony mondom néktek: elvették jutalmukat.
KJV	And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

KG	Te pedig amikor imádkozol, menj be a te belső szobádba, és ajtódat bezárva, imádkozzál a te Atyádhoz, aki titkon van; és a te Atyád, aki titkon néz, megfizet néked nyilván.
KJV	But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

KG	És mikor imádkoztok, ne legyetek sok beszédűek, mint a pogányok, akik azt gondolják, hogy az ő sok beszédükért hallgattatnak meg.
KJV	But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

KG	Ne legyetek hát ezekhez hasonlók; mert jól tudja a ti Atyátok, mire van szükségetek, mielőtt kérnétek tőle.
KJV	Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

KG	Ti azért így imádkozzatok: Mi Atyánk, ki vagy a mennyekben, szenteltessék meg a te neved;
KJV	After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

KG	Jőjjön el a te országod; legyen meg a te akaratod, mint a mennyben, úgy a földön is.
KJV	Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

KG	A mi mindennapi kenyerünket add meg nékünk ma.
KJV	Give us this day our daily bread.

KG	És bocsásd meg a mi vétkeinket, miképpen mi is megbocsátunk azoknak, akik ellenünk vétkeztek;
KJV	And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

KG	És ne vígy minket kísértetbe, de szabadíts meg minket a gonosztól. Mert tiéd az ország és a hatalom és a dicsőség mind örökké. Ámen!
KJV	And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

KG	Mert ha megbocsátjátok az embereknek az ő vétkeiket, megbocsát néktek is a ti mennyei Atyátok.
KJV	For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

KG	Ha pedig meg nem bocsátjátok az embereknek az ő vétkeiket, a ti mennyei Atyátok sem bocsátja meg a ti vétkeiteket.
KJV	But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

KG	Mikor pedig bőjtöltök, ne legyen komor a nézéstek, mint a képmutatóké, akik eltorzítják arcukat, hogy lássák az emberek, hogy ők bőjtölnek. Bizony mondom néktek, elvették jutalmukat.
KJV	Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

KG	Te pedig mikor bőjtölsz, kend meg a te fejedet, és a te orcádat mosd meg;
KJV	But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

KG	Hogy ne az emberek lássák bőjtölésedet, hanem a te Atyád, aki titkon van; és a te Atyád, aki titkon néz, megfizet néked nyilván.
KJV	That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.

KG	Ne gyűjtsetek magatoknak kincseket a földön, hol a rozsda és a moly megemészti, és ahol a tolvajok kiássák és ellopják;
KJV	Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

KG	Hanem gyűjtsetek magatoknak kincseket mennyben, ahol sem a rozsda, sem a moly meg nem emészti, és ahol a tolvajok ki nem ássák, sem el nem lopják.
KJV	But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

KG	Mert ahol van a ti kincsetek, ott van a ti szívetek is.
KJV	For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

KG	A test lámpása a szem. Ha azért a te szemed tiszta, a te egész tested világos lesz.
KJV	The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

KG	Ha pedig a te szemed gonosz, a te egész tested sötét lesz. Ha azért a benned lévő világosság sötétség: mekkora akkor a sötétség?!
KJV	But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

KG	Senki sem szolgálhat két úrnak. Mert vagy az egyiket gyűlöli és a másikat szereti; vagy az egyikhez ragaszkodik és a másikat megveti. Nem szolgálhattok Istennek és a Mammonnak.
KJV	No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

KG	Azért azt mondom néktek: Ne aggodalmaskodjatok a ti éltetek felől, mit egyetek és mit igyatok; sem a ti testetek felől, mibe öltözködjetek. Avagy nem több-é az élet hogynem az eledel, és a test hogynem az öltözet?
KJV	Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

KG	Tekintsetek az égi madarakra, hogy nem vetnek, nem aratnak, sem csűrbe nem takarnak; és a ti mennyei Atyátok eltartja azokat. Nem sokkal különbek vagytok-é azoknál?
KJV	Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

KG	Kicsoda pedig az közületek, aki aggodalmaskodásával megnövelheti termetét egy arasszal?
KJV	Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

KG	Az öltözet felől is mit aggodalmaskodtok? Vegyétek eszetekbe a mező liliomait, mi módon növekednek: nem munkálkodnak, és nem fonnak;
KJV	And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

KG	De mondom néktek, hogy Salamon minden dicsőségében sem öltözködött úgy, mint ezek közül egy.
KJV	And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

KG	Ha pedig a mezőnek füvét, amely ma van, és holnap kemencébe vettetik, így ruházza az Isten; nem sokkal inkább-é titeket, ti kicsinyhitűek?
KJV	Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

KG	Ne aggodalmaskodjatok tehát, és ne mondjátok: Mit együnk? vagy: Mit igyunk? vagy: Mivel ruházkodjunk?
KJV	Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

KG	Mert mind ezeket a pogányok kérdezik. Mert jól tudja a ti mennyei Atyátok, hogy mind ezekre szükségetek van.
KJV	(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

KG	Hanem keressétek először Istennek országát, és az ő igazságát; és ezek mind megadatnak néktek.
KJV	But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

KG	Ne aggodalmaskodjatok tehát a holnap felől; mert a holnap majd aggodalmaskodik a maga dolgai felől. Elég minden napnak a maga baja.
KJV	Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
