KG	Mikor pedig látta Jézus a sokaságot, felméne a hegyre, és amint leül vala, hozzámenének az ő tanítványai.
KJV	And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:

KG	És megnyitván száját, tanítja vala őket, mondván:
KJV	And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

KG	Boldogok a lelki szegények: mert övék a mennyeknek országa.
KJV	Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

KG	Boldogok, akik sírnak: mert ők megvígasztaltatnak.
KJV	Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

KG	Boldogok a szelídek: mert ők örökségül bírják a földet.
KJV	Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

KG	Boldogok, akik éhezik és szomjúhozzák az igazságot: mert ők megelégíttetnek.
KJV	Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

KG	Boldogok az irgalmasok: mert ők irgalmasságot nyernek.
KJV	Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

KG	Boldogok, akiknek szívök tiszta: mert ők az Istent meglátják.
KJV	Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

KG	Boldogok a békességre igyekezők: mert ők az Isten fiainak mondatnak.
KJV	Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

KG	Boldogok, akik háborúságot szenvednek az igazságért: mert övék a mennyeknek országa.
KJV	Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

KG	Boldogok vagytok, ha szidalmaznak és háborgatnak titeket és minden gonosz hazugságot mondanak ellenetek én érettem.
KJV	Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

KG	Örüljetek és örvendezzetek, mert a ti jutalmatok bőséges a mennyekben: mert így háborgatták a prófétákat is, akik előttetek voltak.
KJV	Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

KG	Ti vagytok a földnek savai; ha pedig a só megízetlenül, mivel sózzák meg? nem jó azután semmire, hanem hogy kidobják és eltapossák az emberek.
KJV	Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

KG	Ti vagytok a világ világossága. Nem rejtethetik el a hegyen épített város.
KJV	Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

KG	Gyertyát sem azért gyújtanak, hogy a véka alá, hanem hogy a gyertyatartóba tegyék és fényljék mindazoknak, akik a házban vannak.
KJV	Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

KG	Úgy fényljék a ti világosságtok az emberek előtt, hogy lássák a ti jó cselekedeteiteket, és dicsőítsék a ti mennyei Atyátokat.
KJV	Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

KG	Ne gondoljátok, hogy jöttem a törvénynek vagy a prófétáknak eltörlésére. Nem jöttem, hogy eltöröljem, hanem inkább, hogy betöltsem.
KJV	Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

KG	Mert bizony mondom néktek, míg az ég és a föld elmúlik, a törvényből egy jóta vagy egyetlen pontocska el nem múlik, amíg minden be nem teljesedik.
KJV	For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

KG	Valaki azért csak egyet is megront e legkisebb parancsolatok közül és úgy tanítja az embereket, a mennyeknek országában a legkisebb lészen; valaki pedig cselekszi és úgy tanít, az a mennyeknek országában nagy lészen.
KJV	Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

KG	Mert mondom néktek, hogy ha a ti igazságotok nem több az írástudók és farizeusok igazságánál, semmiképpen sem mehettek be a mennyeknek országába.
KJV	For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

KG	Hallottátok, hogy megmondatott a régieknek: Ne ölj, mert aki öl, méltó az ítéletre.
KJV	Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

KG	Én pedig azt mondom néktek, hogy mindaz, aki haragszik az ő atyjafiára ok nélkül, méltó az ítéletre: aki pedig azt mondja az ő atyjafiának: Ráka, méltó a főtörvényszékre: aki pedig ezt mondja: Bolond, méltó a gyehenna tüzére.
KJV	But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

KG	Azért, ha a te ajándékodat az oltárra viszed és ott megemlékezel arról, hogy a te atyádfiának valami panasza van ellened:
KJV	Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

KG	Hagyd ott az oltár előtt a te ajándékodat, és menj el, elébb békélj meg a te atyádfiával, és azután eljövén, vidd fel a te ajándékodat.
KJV	Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

KG	Légy jóakarója a te ellenségednek hamar, amíg az úton vagy vele, hogy ellenséged valamiképpen a bíró kezébe ne adjon, és a bíró oda ne adjon a poroszló kezébe, és tömlöcbe ne vessen téged.
KJV	Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

KG	Bizony mondom néked: ki nem jősz onnét, mígnem megfizetsz az utolsó fillérig.
KJV	Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

KG	Hallottátok, hogy megmondatott a régieknek: Ne paráználkodjál!
KJV	Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

KG	Én pedig azt mondom néktek, hogy valaki asszonyra tekint gonosz kivánságnak okáért, immár paráználkodott azzal az ő szívében.
KJV	But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

KG	Ha pedig a te jobb szemed megbotránkoztat téged, vájd ki azt és vesd el magadtól; mert jobb néked, hogy egy vesszen el a te tagjaid közül, semhogy egész tested a gyehennára vettessék.
KJV	And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

KG	És ha a te jobb kezed botránkoztat meg téged, vágd le azt és vesd el magadtól; mert jobb néked, hogy egy vesszen el a te tagjaid közül, semhogy egész tested a gyehennára vettessék.
KJV	And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

KG	Megmondatott továbbá: Valaki elbocsátja feleségét, adjon néki elválásról való levelet.
KJV	It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

KG	Én pedig azt mondom néktek: Valaki elbocsátja feleségét, paráznaság okán kívül, paráznává teszi azt; és aki elbocsátott asszonyt veszen el, paráználkodik.
KJV	But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

KG	Ismét hallottátok, hogy megmondatott a régieknek: Hamisan ne esküdjél, hanem teljesítsd az Úrnak tett esküidet.
KJV	Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

KG	Én pedig azt mondom néktek: Teljességgel ne esküdjetek; se az égre, mert az az Istennek királyi széke;
KJV	But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:

KG	Se a földre, mert az az ő lábainak zsámolya; se Jeruzsálemre, mert a nagy Királynak városa;
KJV	Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.

KG	Se a te fejedre ne esküdjél, mert egyetlen hajszálat sem tehetsz fehérré vagy feketévé;
KJV	Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.

KG	Hanem legyen a ti beszédetek: Úgy úgy; nem nem; ami pedig ezeken felül vagyon, a gonosztól vagyon.
KJV	But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

KG	Hallottátok, hogy megmondatott: Szemet szemért és fogat fogért.
KJV	Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

KG	Én pedig azt mondom néktek: Ne álljatok ellene a gonosznak, hanem aki arcul üt téged jobb felől, fordítsd felé a másik orcádat is.
KJV	But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

KG	És aki törvénykezni akar veled és elvenni a te alsó ruhádat, engedd oda néki a felsőt is.
KJV	And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.

KG	És aki téged egy mértföldútra kényszerít, menj el vele kettőre.
KJV	And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

KG	Aki tőled kér, adj néki; és aki tőled kölcsön akar kérni, el ne fordulj attól.
KJV	Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

KG	Hallottátok, hogy megmondatott: Szeresd felebarátodat és gyűlöld ellenségedet.
KJV	Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

KG	Én pedig azt mondom néktek: Szeressétek ellenségeiteket, áldjátok azokat, akik titeket átkoznak, jót tegyetek azokkal, akik titeket gyűlölnek, és imádkozzatok azokért, akik háborgatnak és kergetnek titeket.
KJV	But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

KG	Hogy legyetek a ti mennyei Atyátoknak fiai, aki felhozza az ő napját mind a gonoszokra, mind a jókra, és esőt ád mind az igazaknak, mind a hamisaknak.
KJV	That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

KG	Mert ha azokat szeretitek, akik titeket szeretnek, micsoda jutalmát veszitek? Avagy a vámszedők is nem ugyanazt cselekeszik-é?
KJV	For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

KG	És ha csak a ti atyátokfiait köszöntitek, mit cselekesztek másoknál többet? Nemde a vámszedők is nem azonképpen cselekesznek-é?
KJV	And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

KG	Legyetek azért ti tökéletesek, miként a ti mennyei Atyátok tökéletes.
KJV	Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
