KG	És mindjárt reggel tanácsot tartván a főpapok a vénekkel és írástudókkal, és az egész tanács, megkötözvén Jézust, elvivék és átadák Pilátusnak.
KJV	And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

KG	És megkérdé őt Pilátus: Te vagy-é a zsidók királya? Ő pedig felelvén, monda néki: Te mondod.
KJV	And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, Thou sayest it.

KG	És erősen vádolják vala őt a főpapok.
KJV	And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.

KG	Pilátus pedig ismét megkérdé őt, mondván: Semmit sem felelsz-é? Ímé, mennyi tanúbizonyságot szólnak ellened!
KJV	And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.

KG	Jézus pedig semmit sem felele, annyira hogy Pilátus elcsudálkozék.
KJV	But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.

KG	Ünnepenként pedig egy foglyot szokott vala elbocsátani nékik, akit épen óhajtának.
KJV	Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.

KG	Vala pedig egy Barabbás nevű, megkötöztetve ama lázadókkal együtt, akik a lázadás alkalmával gyilkosságot követtek vala el.
KJV	And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

KG	És a sokaság kiáltván, kezdé kérni Pilátust arra, amit mindenkor megtesz vala nékik.
KJV	And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.

KG	Pilátus pedig felele nékik, mondván: Akarjátok-é, hogy elbocsássam néktek a zsidók királyát?
KJV	But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

KG	Mert tudja vala, hogy irígységből adták őt kézbe a főpapok.
KJV	For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

KG	A főpapok azonban felindíták a sokaságot, hogy inkább Barabbást bocsássa el nékik.
KJV	But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.

KG	Pilátus pedig felelvén, ismét monda nékik: Mit akartok tehát, hogy cselekedjem ezzel, akit a zsidók királyának mondotok?
KJV	And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?

KG	És azok ismét kiáltának: Feszítsd meg őt!
KJV	And they cried out again, Crucify him.

KG	Pilátus pedig monda nékik: Mert mi rosszat cselekedett? Azok pedig annál jobban kiáltanak vala: Feszítsd meg őt!
KJV	Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.

KG	Pilátus pedig eleget akarván tenni a sokaságnak, elbocsátá nékik Barabbást, Jézust pedig megostoroztatván, kezökbe adá, hogy megfeszítsék.
KJV	And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

KG	A vitézek pedig elvivék őt az udvar belső részébe, ami az őrház; és összehívák az egész csapatot.
KJV	And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.

KG	És bíborba öltözteték őt, és tövisből font koszorút tevének a fejére,
KJV	And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,

KG	És elkezdék őt köszönteni: Üdvöz légy, zsidók királya!
KJV	And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!

KG	És verik vala a fejét nádszállal, és köpdösik vala őt, és térdet hajtva tisztelik vala őt.
KJV	And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.

KG	Mikor pedig kicsúfolták őt, leveték róla a bíbor ruhát, és a maga ruháiba öltözteték; és kivivék őt, hogy megfeszítsék.
KJV	And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

KG	És kényszerítének egy mellettök elmenőt, bizonyos cirénei Simont, aki a mezőről jő vala, Alekszándernek és Rufusnak az atyját, hogy vigye az ő keresztjét.
KJV	And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

KG	És vivék őt a Golgotha nevű helyre, amely megmagyarázva annyi, mint: koponya helye.
KJV	And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.

KG	És mirhás bort adnak vala néki inni; de ő nem fogadá el.
KJV	And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.

KG	És megfeszítvén őt, eloszták az ő ruháit, sorsot vetvén azokra, ki mit kapjon.
KJV	And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.

KG	Vala pedig három óra, mikor megfeszíték őt.
KJV	And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.

KG	Az ő kárhoztatásának oka pedig így vala fölébe felírva: A zsidók királya.
KJV	And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

KG	Két rablót is megfeszítének vele, egyet jobb és egyet bal keze felől.
KJV	And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.

KG	És beteljesedék az írás, amely azt mondja: És a bűnösök közé számláltaték.
KJV	And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.

KG	Az arra menők pedig szidalmazzák vala őt, fejüket hajtogatván és mondván: Hah! aki lerontod a templomot, és három nap alatt fölépíted;
KJV	And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,

KG	Szabadítsd meg magadat, és szállj le a keresztről!
KJV	Save thyself, and come down from the cross.

KG	Hasonlóképpen pedig a főpapok is, csúfolódván egymás között, az írástudókkal együtt mondják vala: Másokat megtartott, magát nem bírja megtartani.
KJV	Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.

KG	A Krisztus, az Izráel királya, szálljon le most a keresztről, hogy lássuk és higyjünk. Akiket vele feszítettek meg, azok is szidalmazzák vala őt.
KJV	Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

KG	Mikor pedig hat óra lőn, sötétség támada az egész földön kilenc óráig.
KJV	And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

KG	És kilenc órakor fennszóval kiálta Jézus mondván: Elói, Elói! Lamma Sabaktáni? ami megmagyarázva annyi, mint: Én Istenem, én Istenem! miért hagyál el engemet?
KJV	And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

KG	Némelyek pedig meghallván ezt az ott állók közül, mondának: Ímé Illést hívja.
KJV	And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.

KG	Egy ember pedig odafutamodék és egy szivacsot megtöltvén ecettel és azt nádszálra tűzvén, inni ada néki, mondván: Hagyjátok el, lássuk, ha eljő-é Illés, hogy levegye őt.
KJV	And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.

KG	Jézus pedig nagy fennszóval kiáltván kibocsátá lelkét.
KJV	And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

KG	És a templom kárpítja fölétől aljáig ketté hasada.
KJV	And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

KG	Látván pedig a százados, aki vele átellenben áll vala, hogy ekként kiáltva bocsátá ki lelkét, monda: Bizony, ez az ember Isten Fia vala!
KJV	And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

KG	Valának pedig asszonyok is, akik távolról nézik vala, akik között vala Mária Magdaléna, és Mária, a kis Jakabnak és Józsénak anyja, és Salomé,
KJV	There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

KG	Akik, mikor Galileában vala, akkor is követték vala őt, és szolgálnak vala néki; és sok más asszony, akik vele mentek vala fel Jeruzsálembe.
KJV	(Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.

KG	És mikor immár este lőn, mivelhogy péntek vala, azaz szombat előtt való nap,
KJV	And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,

KG	Eljöve az arimathiai József, egy tisztességes tanácsbeli, aki maga is várja vala az Isten országát; beméne bátran Pilátushoz, és kéré Jézusnak testét.
KJV	Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

KG	Pilátus pedig csodálkozék, hogy immár meghalt volna; és magához hivatva a századost, megkérdé tőle, ha régen halt-é meg?
KJV	And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

KG	És megtudván a századostól, odaajándékozá a testet Józsefnek.
KJV	And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

KG	Ő pedig gyolcsot vásárolván, és levévén őt, begöngyölé a gyolcsba, és elhelyezé egy sírboltba, amely kősziklából vala kivágva; és követ hengeríte a sírbolt szájára.
KJV	And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.

KG	Mária Magdaléna pedig és Mária, a Józsé anyja, nézik vala, hová helyezék.
KJV	And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.
