KG	És látá Jákób, hogy van gabona Égyiptomban és monda Jákób az ő fiainak: Mit néztek egymásra?
KJV	Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?

KG	És monda: Ímé hallom hogy Égyiptomban van gabona; menjetek le oda, és vegyetek onnan nékünk gabonát, hogy éljünk és ne haljunk meg.
KJV	And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die.

KG	Leméne azért Józsefnek tíz bátyja Égyiptomba gabonát venni.
KJV	And Joseph's ten brethren went down to buy corn in Egypt.

KG	De Benjámint a József öcscsét nem bocsátá el Jákób az ő bátyjaival; mert mondá: Netalán veszedelem érhetné.
KJV	But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall him.

KG	Elmenének tehát Izráel fiai gabonát venni az oda menőkkel együtt, mert éhség vala Kanaán földén.
KJV	And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Canaan.

KG	József pedig az ország kormányzója vala, és ő árulja vala a gabonát a föld minden népének. Eljutának azért a József bátyjai, és arccal a földre borúlának ő előtte.
KJV	And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth.

KG	Amint meglátá József az ő bátyjait, megismeré őket, de idegennek mutatá magát hozzájok, és kemény beszédekkel szóla nékik, mondván: Honnan jöttetek? Azok pedig mondának: Kanaán földéről jöttünk eleséget venni.
KJV	And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.

KG	Megismeré pedig József az ő bátyjait, de azok nem ismerék meg őt.
KJV	And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him.

KG	És megemlékezék József az álmokról, amelyeket azok felől álmodott vala. És monda nékik: Kémek vagytok ti, kik azért jöttetek, hogy az ország védetlen részeit meglássátok.
KJV	And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

KG	És mondának néki: Nem uram, hanem eleséget venni jöttek a te szolgáid.
KJV	And they said unto him, Nay, my lord, but to buy food are thy servants come.

KG	Mi mindnyájan egy ember fiai vagyunk: igaz emberek vagyunk. Soha nem voltak kémek a te szolgáid.
KJV	We are all one man's sons; we are true men, thy servants are no spies.

KG	Ismét monda: Nem úgy van, hanem azért jöttetek, hogy az ország védetlen részeit meglássátok.
KJV	And he said unto them, Nay, but to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

KG	Amazok mondának: Mi, te szolgáid, tizenketten vagyunk testvérek, egy embernek fiai, Kanaán földén; és ímé legkisebbikünk most atyánknál van, egyikünk pedig nincsen meg.
KJV	And they said, Thy servants are twelve brethren, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not.

KG	József pedig monda nékik: Úgy van amint néktek mondám: kémek vagytok.
KJV	And Joseph said unto them, That is it that I spake unto you, saying, Ye are spies:

KG	Ezzel lesztek próbára téve: Úgy éljen a Faraó, hogy ki nem mentek innen, míg ide nem jő a ti legkisebbik atyátokfia.
KJV	Hereby ye shall be proved: By the life of Pharaoh ye shall not go forth hence, except your youngest brother come hither.

KG	Küldjetek el közületek egyet, hogy hozza ide testvérteket; ti pedig fogva lesztek. Így lesz próbára téve beszédetek, hogy igaz járatban vagytok-é vagy nem? Úgy éljen a Faraó, hogy ti kémek vagytok.
KJV	Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.

KG	Annakokáért fogságban tartá őket harmadnapig.
KJV	And he put them all together into ward three days.

KG	Harmadnap pedig monda nékik József: Ezt cselekedjétek, hogy éljetek; az Istent én is félem.
KJV	And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I fear God:

KG	Ha igaz emberek vagytok, maradjon fogva egyik testvéretek a ti tömlöcötökben, ti pedig menjetek el, vigyetek gabonát házaitok szükségére.
KJV	If ye be true men, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of your prison: go ye, carry corn for the famine of your houses:

KG	Legkisebbik atyátokfiát pedig hozzátok én hozzám, akkor igazolva lesznek beszédeitek és nem haltok meg. És akképpen cselekedének.
KJV	But bring your youngest brother unto me; so shall your words be verified, and ye shall not die. And they did so.

KG	És mondának egymásnak: Bizony vétkeztünk mi a mi atyánkfia ellen, akinek láttuk lelki szorongását, mikor nékünk könyörög vala, de nem hallgattunk reá; azért következett reánk ez a nyomorúság.
KJV	And they said one to another, We are verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.

KG	Rúben pedig felele nékik, mondván: Avagy nem mondtam-é néktek, hogy ne vétkezzetek a gyermek ellen, de ti nem hallgattatok reám. És ímé vérét is keresik rajtunk!
KJV	And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is required.

KG	És nem tudják vala ők, hogy József érti őket, mert tolmács vala közöttük.
KJV	And they knew not that Joseph understood them; for he spake unto them by an interpreter.

KG	És elfordula tőlök és síra: Azután hozzájok fordula és szóla nékik, és visszatartá közülök Simeont, és szemök láttára megkötözteté őt.
KJV	And he turned himself about from them, and wept; and returned to them again, and communed with them, and took from them Simeon, and bound him before their eyes.

KG	És parancsola József, hogy töltsék meg edényeiket gabonával, és tegyék vissza pénzöket mindeniknek az ő zsákjába, és hogy adjanak nékik enni valót az útra; és így cselekedének velök.
KJV	Then Joseph commanded to fill their sacks with corn, and to restore every man's money into his sack, and to give them provision for the way: and thus did he unto them.

KG	És felveték gabonájokat szamaraikra és elmenének onnan.
KJV	And they laded their asses with the corn, and departed thence.

KG	És egyik kioldá zsákját, hogy abrakot adjon szamarának a szálláson és meglátá az ő pénzét, hogy ímé zsákja szájában van az.
KJV	And as one of them opened his sack to give his ass provender in the inn, he espied his money; for, behold, it was in his sack's mouth.

KG	És monda az ő atyjafiainak: Visszatették az én pénzemet, és ímé zsákomban van. Akkor megrettene szívök, és remegve mondának egymásnak: Micsoda ez, amit Isten cselekedett velünk?
KJV	And he said unto his brethren, My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack: and their heart failed them, and they were afraid, saying one to another, What is this that God hath done unto us?

KG	És eljutának atyjokhoz Jákóbhoz Kanaán földére és mindazt elbeszélék néki ami velök történt vala, mondván:
KJV	And they came unto Jacob their father unto the land of Canaan, and told him all that befell unto them; saying,

KG	Az a férfiú, annak a földnek ura, keményen szóla nékünk, és úgy bánt velünk, mintha az országot kémleltük volna.
KJV	The man, who is the lord of the land, spake roughly to us, and took us for spies of the country.

KG	És mondánk néki: Igaz emberek vagyunk, soha nem voltunk mi kémek.
KJV	And we said unto him, We are true men; we are no spies:

KG	Tizenketten vagyunk atyafiak, a mi atyánknak fiai, egyikünk nincs meg, legkisebbikünk pedig most atyánkkal van Kanaán földén.
KJV	We be twelve brethren, sons of our father; one is not, and the youngest is this day with our father in the land of Canaan.

KG	És monda nékünk az a férfiú, annak a földnek ura: Erről ismerem meg, hogy igaz emberek vagytok: egyik atyátokfiát hagyjátok nálam, a házaitok szükségére valót vigyétek, és menjetek el;
KJV	And the man, the lord of the country, said unto us, Hereby shall I know that ye are true men; leave one of your brethren here with me, and take food for the famine of your households, and be gone:

KG	És hozzátok hozzám a ti legkisebbik atyátokfiát, akkor megtudom, hogy nem vagytok kémek, hanem igaz emberek; akkor visszaadom néktek a ti atyátokfiát, és ebben az országban kereskedhettek.
KJV	And bring your youngest brother unto me: then shall I know that ye are no spies, but that ye are true men: so will I deliver you your brother, and ye shall traffic in the land.

KG	És lőn amint zsákjaikat kiüresíték, ímé az ő csomó pénze mindeniknek zsákjában vala. Amint látták az ő csomó pénzeiket ők és az ő atyjok, megfélemlének.
KJV	And it came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold, every man's bundle of money was in his sack: and when both they and their father saw the bundles of money, they were afraid.

KG	És monda nékik az ő atyjok Jákób: Megfosztotok engem gyermekeimtől; József nincsen, Simeon sincsen. Benjámint is elviszitek? mindez engem ér!
KJV	And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.

KG	Akkor szóla Rúben az ő atyjának, mondván: az én két fiamat öld meg, ha meg nem hozom őt néked. Bízd az én kezemre őt, és én visszahozom néked.
KJV	And Reuben spake unto his father, saying, Slay my two sons, if I bring him not to thee: deliver him into my hand, and I will bring him to thee again.

KG	Az pedig monda: Nem megy le oda az én fiam ti veletek, mert az ő bátyja megholt és ő maga maradt meg; ha veszedelem érné őt az úton, amelyen elmentek, ősz fejemet búba borítva bocsátanátok le a koporsóba.
KJV	And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he is left alone: if mischief befall him by the way in the which ye go, then shall ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
