KG	Mivelhogy hallottuk a ti hiteteket a Krisztus Jézusban, és a szeretetet, amelylyel minden szentekhez vagytok,
KJV	Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,

KG	A mennyekben néktek eltett reménységért, amelyet már előbb hallottatok az igazság beszédében, mely az evangyéliom:
KJV	For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

KG	Mely eljutott hozzátok, miképpen az egész világra is, és gyümölcsöt terem, úgy mint nálatok is a naptól fogva, melyen hallottátok és megismertétek az Isten kegyelmét igazán:
KJV	Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

KG	Úgy ahogy tanultátok is Epafrástól, a mi szerelmes szolgatársunktól, aki hív szolgája ti érettetek a Krisztusnak,
KJV	As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;

KG	Aki meg is jelentette nékünk a ti Lélekben való szereteteteket.
KJV	Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

KG	Azért mi is, amely naptól fogva ezeket hallottuk, nem szűnünk meg érettetek imádkozni, és kérni, hogy betöltessetek az Isten akaratának megismerésével minden lelki bölcseségben és értelemben,
KJV	For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

KG	Hogy járjatok méltóan az Úrhoz, teljes tetszésére, minden jó cselekedettel gyümölcsöt teremvén és nevekedvén az Isten megismerésében;
KJV	That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

KG	Minden erővel megerősíttetvén az Ő dicsőségének hatalma szerint minden kitartásra és hosszútűrésre örömmel;
KJV	Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

KG	Hálákat adván az Atyának, ki alkalmasakká tett minket a szentek örökségében való részvételre a világosságban;
KJV	Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

KG	Aki megszabadított minket a sötétség hatalmából, és általvitt az Ő szerelmes Fiának országába;
KJV	Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

KG	Kiben van a mi váltságunk az Ő vére által, bűneinknek bocsánata;
KJV	In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

KG	Aki képe a láthatatlan Istennek, minden teremtménynek előtte született;
KJV	Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

KG	Mert Ő benne teremtetett minden, ami van a mennyekben és a földön, láthatók és láthatatlanok, akár királyi székek, akár uraságok, akár fejedelemségek, akár hatalmasságok; mindenek Ő általa és Ő reá nézve teremttettek;
KJV	For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

KG	És Ő előbb volt mindennél, és minden Ő benne áll fenn.
KJV	And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

KG	És Ő a feje a testnek, az egyháznak: aki a kezdet, elsőszülött a halottak közül; hogy mindenekben Ő legyen az első;
KJV	And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

KG	Mert tetszett az Atyának, hogy Ő benne lakozzék az egész teljesség;
KJV	For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

KG	És hogy Ő általa békéltessen meg mindent Magával, békességet szerezvén az Ő keresztjének vére által; Ő általa mindent, ami csak van, akár a földön, akár a mennyekben.
KJV	And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

KG	Titeket is, kik hajdan elidegenültek és ellenségek valátok gonosz cselekedetekben gyönyörködő értelmetek miatt, most mégis megbékéltetett.
KJV	And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

KG	Az Ő emberi testében a halál által, hogy mint szenteket, tisztákat és feddhetetleneket állasson titeket Ő maga elé:
KJV	In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

KG	Ha ugyan megmaradtok a hitben alaposan és erősen, és el nem távoztok az evangyéliom reménységétől, amelyet hallottatok, amely hirdettetett minden teremtménynek az ég alatt; amelynek lettem én, Pál, szolgájává.
KJV	If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

KG	Most örülök a ti érettetek való szenvedéseimnek, és a magam részéről betöltöm ami híja van a Krisztus szenvedéseinek az én testemben az Ő testéért, ami az egyház;
KJV	Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

KG	Amelynek lettem én szolgájává az Isten sáfársága szerint, amelyet nékem adott ti rátok nézve, hogy betöltsem az Isten ígéjét,
KJV	Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;

KG	Tudniillik ama titkot, mely el vala rejtve ősidők óta és nemzetségek óta, most pedig megjelentetett az Ő szenteinek,
KJV	Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

KG	Akikkel az Isten meg akarta ismertetni azt, hogy milyen nagy a pogányok között eme titok dicsőségének gazdagsága, az tudniillik, hogy a Krisztus ti köztetek van, a dicsőségnek ama reménysége:
KJV	To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

KG	Akit mi prédikálunk, intvén minden embert, és tanítván minden embert minden bölcseséggel, hogy minden embert tökéletesnek állassunk elő a Krisztus Jézusban;
KJV	Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

KG	Amire igyekezem is, tusakodván az Ő ereje szerint, mely én bennem hatalmasan munkálkodik.
KJV	Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.
