KG	Meghallák azonban az apostolok és a Júdeában levő atyafiak, hogy a pogányok is bevették az Istennek beszédét.
KJV	And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.

KG	Mikor azért felment Péter Jeruzsálembe, vetekedének ő vele a zsidóságból valók,
KJV	And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him,

KG	Mondván: Körülmetéletlen emberekhez mentél be, és együtt ettél velük.
KJV	Saying, Thou wentest in to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them.

KG	Elkezdvén pedig Péter, megmagyarázta nékik rendre, mondván:
KJV	But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,

KG	Én Joppé városában imádkozám; és láték elragadtatásban egy látást, valami alászálló edényt, mint egy nagy lepedőt, négy sarkánál fogva leeresztve az égből; és egészen hozzám szálla:
KJV	I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

KG	Melyre szememet rávetve megnézém, és látám a földi négylábú állatokat, a vadakat és a csúszómászókat és az égi madarakat.
KJV	Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

KG	Hallék pedig szót is, mely ezt mondja vala nékem: Kelj fel Péter, öljed és egyél!
KJV	And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.

KG	Mondék azonban: Semmiképpen sem, Uram; mert soha semmi közönséges vagy tisztátalan nem ment be az én számba.
KJV	But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.

KG	Felele pedig nékem a szózat másodszor az égből: Amiket az Isten megtisztított, te ne mondd tisztátalanoknak.
KJV	But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

KG	Ez pedig három ízben történt; és ismét felvonaték az egész az égbe.
KJV	And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

KG	És ímé, azonnal három férfiú érkezék a házhoz, melyben valék, kik Cézáreából küldettek én hozzám.
KJV	And, behold, immediately there were three men already come unto the house where I was, sent from Caesarea unto me.

KG	Mondá pedig nékem a Lélek, hogy menjek el velök minden kételkedés nélkül. Eljöve pedig velem ez a hat atyafi is; és bemenénk annak az embernek a házába:
KJV	And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man's house:

KG	És elbeszélé nékünk, mimódon látta, amint az angyal megálla az ő házában és ezt mondá néki: Küldj embereket Joppéba, és hívasd magadhoz Simont, ki Péternek neveztetik;
KJV	And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

KG	Ő szólni fog hozzád olyan ígéket, melyek által megtartatol te és a te egész házadnépe.
KJV	Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

KG	Mikor pedig én elkezdtem szólni, leszálla a Szent Lélek ő reájok, miképpen mi reánk is kezdetben.
KJV	And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

KG	Megemlékezém pedig az Úrnak ama mondásáról, amint mondá: János ugyan vízzel keresztelt, ti azonban Szent Lélekkel fogtok megkereszteltetni.
KJV	Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

KG	Ha tehát az Isten hasonló ajándékát adta nékik, mint nékünk is, kik hittünk az Úr Jézus Krisztusban, kicsoda voltam én, hogy az Istent eltilthattam volna?
KJV	Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

KG	Ezeknek hallatára aztán megnyugovának, és dicsőíték az Istent, mondván: Eszerint hát a pogányoknak is adott az Isten megtérést az életre!
KJV	When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

KG	Azok tehát, akik eloszlottak az üldözés miatt, mely Istvánért támadott, eljutának Feniciáig, Ciprusig és Antiókhiáig, senkinek nem prédikálván az ígét, hanem csak a zsidóknak.
KJV	Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

KG	Voltak azonban közöttük némely ciprusi és cirénei férfiak, kik mikor Antiókhiába bementek, szólának a görögöknek, hirdetve az Úr Jézust.
KJV	And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the LORD Jesus.

KG	És az Úrnak keze vala velök; és nagy sokaság tére meg az Úrhoz, hívővé lévén.
KJV	And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

KG	Elhatott pedig a hír ő felőlük a jeruzsálemi gyülekezet fülébe; és kiküldék Barnabást, hogy menjen el egész Antiókhiáig.
KJV	Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch.

KG	Ki mikor oda jutott és látta az Isten kegyelmét, örvendeze; és inté mindnyájukat, hogy állhatatos szívvel maradjanak meg az Úrban.
KJV	Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

KG	Mert jámbor és Szent Lélekkel és hittel teljes férfiú vala ő. És nagy sokaság csatlakozék az Úrhoz.
KJV	For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord.

KG	Elméne pedig Barnabás Tárzusba, hogy felkeresse Saulust, és rátalálván, elvivé őt Antiókhiába.
KJV	Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

KG	És lőn, hogy ők egy egész esztendeig forgolódtak a gyülekezetben, és tanítottak nagy sokaságot; és a tanítványokat először Antiókhiában nevezték keresztyéneknek.
KJV	And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

KG	Ez időtájban pedig menének Jeruzsálemből Antiókhiába próféták.
KJV	And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.

KG	Felkelvén pedig egy azok közül, névszerint Agabus, megjelenté a Lélek által, hogy az egész föld kerekségén nagy éhség lesz; amely meg is lőn Klaudius császár idejében.
KJV	And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

KG	A tanítványok pedig elhatározták, hogy aszerint, amint kinek-kinek közöttük módjában áll, küldenek valamit segítségül a Júdeában lakozó atyafiaknak:
KJV	Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:

KG	Amit meg is cselekedének, elküldvén a vénekhez Barnabás és Saulus keze által.
KJV	Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
