KG	Első könyvemet írtam, Theofilus, mindazokról, amiket kezdett Jézus cselekedni és tanítani,
KJV	The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

KG	Mind a napig, melyen fölviteték, minekutána parancsolatokat adott a Szent Lélek által az apostoloknak, kiket választott vala magának.
KJV	Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

KG	Kiknek az ő szenvedése után sok jel által meg is mutatta, hogy ő él, negyven napon át megjelenvén nékik, és szólván az Isten országára tartozó dolgokról.
KJV	To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

KG	És velök összejövén, meghagyá nékik, hogy el ne menjenek Jeruzsálemből, hanem várják be az Atyának ígéretét, melyet úgymond, hallottatok tőlem:
KJV	And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

KG	Hogy János ugyan vízzel keresztelt, ti azonban Szent Lélekkel fogtok megkereszteltetni nem sok nap mulva.
KJV	For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

KG	Mikor azért azok egybegyűltek, megkérdék őt, mondván: Uram, avagy nem ez időben állítod-é helyre az országot Izráelnek?
KJV	When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

KG	Monda pedig nékik: Nem a ti dolgotok tudni az időket vagy alkalmakat, melyeket az Atya a maga hatalmába helyheztetett.
KJV	And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

KG	Hanem vesztek erőt, minekutána a Szent Lélek eljő reátok: és lesztek nékem tanúim úgy Jeruzsálemben, mint az egész Júdeában és Samariában és a földnek mind végső határáig.
KJV	But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

KG	És mikor ezeket mondotta, az ő láttokra felemelteték, és felhő fogá el őt szemeik elől.
KJV	And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

KG	És amint szemeiket az égre függesztették, mikor ő elméne, ímé két férfiú állott meg mellettük fehér ruhában,
KJV	And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

KG	Kik szóltak is: Galileabeli férfiak, mit állotok nézve a mennybe? Ez a Jézus, aki felviteték tőletek a mennybe, akképpen jő el, amiképpen láttátok őt felmenni a mennybe.
KJV	Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

KG	Akkor megtérének Jeruzsálembe a hegyről, mely hívatik Olajfák hegyének, mely Jeruzsálem mellett van, egy szombatnapi járóföldre.
KJV	Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

KG	És mikor bementek, felmenének a felsőházba, ahol szállva valának: Péter és Jakab, János és András, Filep és Tamás, Bertalan és Máté, Jakab, az Alfeus fia, és Simon, a zelóta, és Júdás, a Jakab fia.
KJV	And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

KG	Ezek mindnyájan egy szívvel-lélekkel foglalatosak valának az imádkozásban és a könyörgésben, az asszonyokkal és Máriával, Jézusnak anyjával, és az ő atyjafiaival együtt.
KJV	These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

KG	És azokban a napokban felkelvén Péter a tanítványok között, monda (vala pedig ott együtt mintegy százhúsz főnyi sokaság):
KJV	And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

KG	Atyámfiai, férfiak, szükség volt betelni annak az írásnak, melyet megjövendölt a Szent Lélek Dávid szája által Júdás felől, ki vezetőjük lőn azoknak, akik megfogták Jézust.
KJV	Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

KG	Mert mi közénk számláltatott, és elnyerte ennek a szolgálatnak az osztályrészét.
KJV	For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

KG	(Ez hát mezőt szerze hamisságának béréből; és alá zuhanván, elhasadt középen, és minden belső része kiomlott.
KJV	Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

KG	És ez tudtokra lőn mindazoknak, kik Jeruzsálemben lakoznak; úgy hogy az a mező tulajdon nyelvökön Akeldamának, azaz Vérmezőnek neveztetett el.)
KJV	And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

KG	Mert meg van írva a Zsoltárok könyvében: Legyen az ő lakóhelye puszta, és ne legyen lakó abban. És: Az ő püspökségét más vegye el.
KJV	For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

KG	Szükség azért, hogy azok közül a férfiak közül, akik velünk együtt jártak minden időben, míg az Úr Jézus közöttünk járt-kelt,
KJV	Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

KG	A János keresztségétől kezdve mind a napig, melyen fölviteték tőlünk, azok közül egy az ő feltámadásának bizonysága legyen mivelünk egyetemben.
KJV	Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

KG	Állatának azért elő kettőt, Józsefet, ki hivatik Barsabásnak, kinek mellékneve Justus vala, és Mátyást.
KJV	And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

KG	És imádkozván, mondának: Te, Uram, ki mindeneknek szívét ismered, mutasd meg a kettő közül egyiket, akit kiválasztottál,
KJV	And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

KG	Hogy elnyerje az osztályrészét e szolgálatnak és apostolságnak, melytől eltévelyedék Júdás, hogy az ő saját helyére jusson.
KJV	That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

KG	Sorsot vetének azért reájok, és esék a sors Mátyásra, és a tizenegy apostol közé számláltaték.
KJV	And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
