KG	Ezek Dávidnak utolsó beszédei. Dávidnak, Isai fiának szózata, annak a férfiúnak szózata, aki igen felmagasztaltaték, Jákób Istenének felkentje és Izráel dalainak kedvence.
KJV	Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said,

KG	Az Úrnak lelke szólott én bennem, és az ő beszéde az én nyelvem által.
KJV	The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.

KG	Izráelnek Istene szólott, Izráelnek kősziklája mondá nékem: Aki igazságosan uralkodik az emberek felett, aki Isten félelmével uralkodik:
KJV	The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

KG	Olyan az, mint a reggeli világosság, mikor a nap feljő, mint a felhőtlen reggel; napsugártól, esőtől sarjadzik a fű a földből.
KJV	And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

KG	Avagy nem ilyen-é az én házam Isten előtt? Mert örökkévaló szövetséget kötött velem, mindennel ellátva és állandót. Mert az én teljes idvességemet és minden kivánságomat nem sarjadoztatja-é?
KJV	Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

KG	De az istentelenek mindnyájan olyanok, mint a kitépett tövis, melyhez kézzel nem nyúlnak;
KJV	But the sons of Belial shall be all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:

KG	Hanem aki hozzá akar nyúlni is, fejszét és rudat vesz hozzá, hogy ugyanazon helyen tűzzel égettessék meg.
KJV	But the man that shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.

KG	Ezek pedig a Dávid erős vitézeinek nevei: Joseb-Bassebet, a Tahkemonita, aki a testőrök vezére; ő dárdáját forgatván, egy ízben nyolcszázat sebesített meg.
KJV	These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.

KG	Ő utána volt Eleázár, Dódónak fia, ki Ahóhi fia vala; ő egyike a három hősnek, akik Dáviddal valának, mikor a Filiszteusok által kigúnyoltatának, összegyülekezvén ott a harcra, és az Izráeliták megfutamodtak volt.
KJV	And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away:

KG	Ő megállván, vágta a Filiszteusokat mindaddig, míg a keze elfáradt, és a keze a fegyverhez ragadt. És nagy szabadulást szerze az Úr azon a napon, a nép pedig visszatére ő utána, de csak a fosztogatásra.
KJV	He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the LORD wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.

KG	Ő utána volt Samma, a Harárból való Agénak fia. És összegyűlének a Filiszteusok egy seregbe ott, ahol egy darab szántóföld volt tele lencsével, a nép pedig elfutott a Filiszteusok elől:
KJV	And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where was a piece of ground full of lentils: and the people fled from the Philistines.

KG	Akkor ő megálla annak a darab földnek közepén, és megoltalmazá azt, és megveré a Filiszteusokat, és az Úr nagy szabadítást szerze.
KJV	But he stood in the midst of the ground, and defended it, and slew the Philistines: and the LORD wrought a great victory.

KG	A harminc vezér közül is hárman lementek, és elérkezének aratáskor Dávidhoz az Adullám barlangjába, mikor a Filiszteusok táborban valának a Réfaim völgyében.
KJV	And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim.

KG	Dávid akkor a sziklavárban volt, a Filiszteusok őrsége pedig Bethlehemnél.
KJV	And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.

KG	Vizet kivánt vala pedig Dávid, és monda: Kicsoda hozna nékem vizet innom a bethlehemi kútból, mely a kapu előtt van?
KJV	And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!

KG	Akkor a három vitéz keresztül tört a Filiszteusok táborán, és merítének vizet a bethlehemi kútból, mely a kapu előtt van, és elhozván, vivék Dávidnak. Ő azonban nem akará meginni, hanem kiönté azt az Úrnak.
KJV	And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the LORD.

KG	És monda: Távol legyen tőlem, Uram, hogy én ezt míveljem: avagy azoknak az embereknek vérét igyam-é meg, kik életöket halálra adva mentek el a vízért? És nem akará azt meginni. Ezt mívelte a három hős.
KJV	And he said, Be it far from me, O LORD, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men.

KG	Továbbá Abisai, Joábnak atyjafia, Sérujának fia, aki e háromnak feje volt, aki háromszáz ellen felemelvén dárdáját, megölé azokat; és néki nagy híre vala a három között.
KJV	And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.

KG	A három között bizonyára híres volt és azoknak vezére vala, mindazáltal ama hárommal nem ért fel.
KJV	Was he not most honorable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.

KG	Benája is, Jójadának fia, vitéz ember, nagytehetségű, aki Kabséelből való vala; ez ölé meg a Moábitáknak két fővitézét. Ugyanő elmenvén, az oroszlánt is megölé a veremben, télen.
KJV	And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:

KG	Ugyanő ölt meg egy Égyiptomból való tekintélyes embert. Az égyiptomi kezében dárda vala, és ő csak egy pálcával méne reá; és kivevé az égyiptomi kezéből a dárdát, és megölé őt a maga dárdájával.
KJV	And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.

KG	Ezeket cselekedé Benája, Jójadának fia, és néki is jó híre vala a három erős vitéz között.
KJV	These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among three mighty men.

KG	Híres volt ő a harminc között, mindazáltal ama hárommal nem ért fel. És előljáróvá tevé őt Dávid a tanácsosok között.
KJV	He was more honorable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.

KG	Asáel is, Joáb atyjafia, e harminc közül való, kik ezek: Elkhanán, a bethlehemi Dódónak fia.
KJV	Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,

KG	Haród városbeli Samma; azon Haródból való Elika.
KJV	Shammah the Harodite, Elika the Harodite,

KG	Héles, Páltiból való; Híra, a Thékoából való Ikkes fia.
KJV	Helez the Paltite, Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite,

KG	Abiézer, Anathóthból; Mébunnai, Húsáthból való.
KJV	Abiezer the Anethothite, Mebunnai the Hushathite,

KG	Sálmon, Ahóhitból való; Maharai, Nétofátból.
KJV	Zalmon the Ahohite, Maharai the Netophathite,

KG	Héleb, Bahanának fia, Nétofátból való; Ittai, Ribainak fia, Gibeából való, mely Benjámin fiaié.
KJV	Heleb the son of Baanah, a Netophathite, Ittai the son of Ribai out of Gibeah of the children of Benjamin,

KG	Benája, Piráthonból való; Hiddai, a patak mellett való Gáhasbeli.
KJV	Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,

KG	Abiálbon, Árbátból való; Azmávet, Bárhumból való.
KJV	Abialbon the Arbathite, Azmaveth the Barhumite,

KG	Eljáhba, Sahalbomból való; Jásen fia, Jonathán.
KJV	Eliahba the Shaalbonite, of the sons of Jashen, Jonathan,

KG	Samma, Harárból való; Ahiám, Arárból való Sarárnak fia.
KJV	Shammah the Hararite, Ahiam the son of Sharar the Hararite,

KG	Elifélet, Ahásbainak fia, Maakátból való; Eliám, Gilóbeli Akhitófelnek fia.
KJV	Eliphelet the son of Ahasbai, the son of the Maachathite, Eliam the son of Ahithophel the Gilonite,

KG	Hesrai, Kármelből való; Paharai, Arbiból való.
KJV	Hezrai the Carmelite, Paarai the Arbite,

KG	Jigeál, Sobabeli Nátánnak fia; Báni, Gádból való.
KJV	Igal the son of Nathan of Zobah, Bani the Gadite,

KG	Sélek, Ammonita; Naharai, Beerótból való, Joábnak, a Séruja fiának fegyverhordozója.
KJV	Zelek the Ammonite, Nahari the Beerothite, armourbearer to Joab the son of Zeruiah,

KG	Ira, Jithriből való; Gáreb, Jithriből való.
KJV	Ira an Ithrite, Gareb an Ithrite,

KG	Hitteus Uriás. Mindössze harmincheten.
KJV	Uriah the Hittite: thirty and seven in all.
