KG	Én fiacskáim, ezeket azért írom néktek, hogy ne vétkezzetek. És ha valaki vétkezik, van Szószólónk az Atyánál, az igaz Jézus Krisztus.
KJV	My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

KG	És ő engesztelő áldozat a mi vétkeinkért; de nemcsak a mienkért, hanem az egész világért is.
KJV	And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

KG	És arról tudjuk meg, hogy megismertük őt, ha az ő parancsolatait megtartjuk.
KJV	And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

KG	Aki ezt mondja: Ismerem őt, és az ő parancsolatait nem tartja meg, hazug az, és nincs meg abban az igazság.
KJV	He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

KG	Aki pedig megtartja az ő beszédét, abban valósággal teljessé lett az Isten szeretete. Erről tudjuk meg, hogy ő benne vagyunk;
KJV	But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

KG	Aki azt mondja, hogy ő benne marad, annak úgy kell járnia, amint ő járt.
KJV	He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

KG	Atyámfiai, nem új parancsolatot írok néktek, hanem régi parancsolatot, amely előttetek volt kezdettől fogva; a régi parancsolat az íge, amelyet hallottatok kezdettől fogva.
KJV	Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

KG	Viszont új parancsolatot írok néktek, ami igaz ő benne és ti bennetek; mert a sötétség szűnni kezd, és az igaz világosság már fénylik.
KJV	Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

KG	Aki azt mondja, hogy a világosságban van, és gyűlöli az ő atyjafiát az még mindig a sötétségben van.
KJV	He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

KG	Aki szereti az ő atyjafiát, a világosságban marad, és nincs benne botránkozásra való.
KJV	He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

KG	Aki pedig gyűlöli az ő atyjafiát, a sötétségben van, és a sötétségben jár, és nem tudja hová megy, mert a sötétség megvakította az ő szemeit.
KJV	But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

KG	Írok néktek, gyermekek, mert a ti bűneitek megbocsáttattak az ő nevéért.
KJV	I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

KG	Írok néktek atyák, mert megismertétek azt, aki kezdettől fogva van. Írok néktek ifjak, mert meggyőztétek a gonoszt. Írok néktek fiacskák, mert megismertétek az Atyát.
KJV	I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

KG	Írtam néktek atyák, mert megismertétek azt, aki kezdettől fogva van. Írtam néktek ifjak, mert erősek vagytok, és az Isten ígéje megmarad bennetek, és meggyőztétek a gonoszt.
KJV	I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

KG	Ne szeressétek a világot, se azokat, amik a világban vannak. Ha valaki a világot szereti, nincs meg abban az Atya szeretete.
KJV	Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

KG	Mert mindaz, ami a világban van, a test kívánsága, és a szemek kívánsága, és az élet kérkedése nem az Atyától van, hanem a világból.
KJV	For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

KG	És a világ elmúlik, és annak kívánsága is; de aki az Isten akaratát cselekszi, megmarad örökké.
KJV	And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

KG	Fiacskáim, itt az utolsó óra; és amint hallottátok, hogy az antikrisztus eljő, így most sok antikrisztus támadt; ahonnan tudjuk, hogy itt az utolsó óra.
KJV	Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

KG	Közülünk váltak ki, de nem voltak közülünk valók; mert ha közülünk valók lettek volna, velünk maradtak volna; de hogy nyilvánvalóvá legyen felőlük, hogy nem mindnyájan közülünk valók.
KJV	They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

KG	És néktek kenetetek van a Szenttől, és mindent tudtok.
KJV	But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

KG	Nem azért írtam néktek, mivel nem ismeritek az igazságot, hanem mivel ismeritek azt, és mivel semmi sincsen az igazságból, ami hazugság.
KJV	I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

KG	Ki a hazug, ha nem az, aki tagadja hogy a Jézus a Krisztus? Ez az antikrisztus, aki tagadja az Atyát és a Fiút.
KJV	Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

KG	Senkiben nincs meg az Atya, aki tagadja a Fiút. Aki vallást tesz a Fiúról, abban az Atya is megvan.
KJV	Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

KG	Amit azért ti kezdettől hallottatok, az maradjon meg bennetek. Ha bennetek marad az, amit kezdettől fogva hallottatok, ti is az Atyában és a Fiúban maradtok.
KJV	Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

KG	És az az ígéret, amelyet ő ígért nékünk: az örök élet.
KJV	And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

KG	Ezeket írtam néktek azok felől, akik elhitetnek titeket.
KJV	These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

KG	És az a kenet, amelyet ti kaptatok tőle, bennetek marad, és így nincs szükségetek arra, hogy valaki tanítson titeket; hanem amint az a kenet megtanít titeket mindenre, úgy igaz is az és nem hazugság, és amiként megtanított titeket, úgy maradjatok ő benne.
KJV	But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

KG	És most, fiacskáim, maradjatok ő benne; hogy mikor megjelenik, bizodalmunk legyen, és meg ne szégyenüljünk előtte az ő eljövetelekor.
KJV	And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

KG	Ha tudjátok, hogy ő igaz, tudjátok, hogy aki az igazságot cselekszi, az mind tőle született.
KJV	If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
