1. vers
KG Mit mondunk tehát? Megmaradjunk-é a bűnben, hogy a kegyelem annál nagyobb legyen?
AS What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
KJV What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2. vers
KG Távol legyen: akik meghaltunk a bűnnek, mimódon élnénk még abban?
AS God forbid. We who died to sin, how shall we any longer live therein?
KJV God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3. vers
AS Or are ye ignorant that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
KJV Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4. vers
KG Eltemettettünk azért ő vele együtt a keresztség által a halálba: hogy miképpen feltámasztatott Krisztus a halálból az Atyának dicsősége által, azonképpen mi is új életben járjunk.
AS We were buried therefore with him through baptism unto death: that like as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
KJV Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5. vers
AS For if we have become united with `him' in the likeness of his death, we shall be also `in the likeness' of his resurrection;
KJV For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6. vers
AS knowing this, that our old man was crucified with `him', that the body of sin might be done away, that so we should no longer be in bondage to sin;
KJV Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7. vers
KG Mert aki meghalt, felszabadult a bűn alól.
AS for he that hath died is justified from sin.
KJV For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8. vers
AS But if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him;
KJV Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9. vers
AS knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death no more hath dominion over him.
KJV Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10. vers
AS For the death that he died, he died unto sin once: but the life that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
KJV For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11. vers
AS Even so reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus.
KJV Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12. vers
KG Ne uralkodjék tehát a bűn a ti halandó testetekben, hogy engedjetek néki az ő kívánságaiban:
AS Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof:
KJV Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13. vers
KG Se ne szánjátok oda a ti tagjaitokat hamisságnak fegyvereiül a bűnnek; hanem szánjátok oda magatokat az Istennek, mint akik a halálból életre keltetek, és a ti tagjaitokat igazságnak fegyvereiül az Istennek.
AS neither present your members unto sin `as' instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves unto God, as alive from the dead, and your members `as' instruments of righteousness unto God.
KJV Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14. vers
AS For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under law, but under grace.
KJV For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15. vers
KG Mit is tehát?
AS What then? shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? God forbid.
KJV What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16. vers
AS Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves `as' servants unto obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
KJV Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17. vers
AS But thanks be to God, that, whereas ye were servants of sin, ye became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto ye were delivered;
KJV But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18. vers
AS and being made free from sin, ye became servants of righteousness.
KJV Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19. vers
KG Emberi módon szólok a ti testeteknek erőtlensége miatt. Mert amiképpen oda szántátok a ti tagjaitokat a tisztátalanságnak és a hamisságnak szolgáiul a hamisságra: azonképpen szánjátok oda most a ti tagjaitokat szolgáiul az igazságnak a megszenteltetésre.
AS I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye presented your members `as' servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now present your members `as' servants to righteousness unto sanctification.
KJV I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20. vers
KG Mert mikor a bűn szolgái valátok, az igazságtól szabadok valátok.
AS For when ye were servants of sin, ye were free in regard of righteousness.
KJV For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21. vers
KG Micsoda gyümölcsét vettétek azért akkor azoknak, amiket most szégyenletek? mert azoknak a vége halál.
AS What fruit then had ye at that time in the things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
KJV What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22. vers
AS But now being made free from sin and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end eternal life.
KJV But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23. vers
KG Mert a bűn zsoldja halál; az Isten kegyelmi ajándéka pedig örök élet a mi Urunk Krisztus Jézusban.
AS For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
KJV For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
