KG	Ezt mondta a balgatag az ő szívében: Nincs Isten. Megromlottak és útálatos hamisságot cselekedtek, nincs aki jót cselekedjék.
AS	God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God.

KG	Isten letekint a mennyből az emberek fiaira, hogy meglássa, ha van-é értelmes, Istent kereső?
AS	Every one of them is gone back; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.

KG	Mindnyájan elhajlottak, és valamennyien megromlottak, nincsen aki jót cselekedjék, nincsen csak egy is.
AS	Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people `as' they eat bread, And call not upon God?

KG	Avagy nincs értelem a hamisságnak cselekvőiben, akik az én népemet megeszik, mintha kenyeret ennének, akik az Istent segítségül nem hívják?
AS	There were they in great fear, where no fear was; For God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: Thou hast put them to shame, because of God hath rejected them.

KG	Ott félnek nagy félelemmel, ahol nincsen félelem; mert az Isten elszéleszti azoknak tetemeit, akik tábort járnak ellened; megszégyeníted azokat, mert az Isten megveti őket.
AS	Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Then shall Jacob rejoice, `and' Israel shall be glad. Psalm 54 For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. Maschil of David; when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us?

KG	Oh, vajha eljönne Sionból Izráelnek a szabadítás! Mikor az Úr visszahozza az ő népének foglyait, örül majd Jákób és vigad Izráel!
