KG	És meghala Sára Kirját-Arbában azaz Hebronban a Kanaán földén, és beméne Ábrahám, hogy gyászolja Sárát és sirassa őt.
AS	And Sarah died in Kiriath-arba (the same is Hebron), in the land of Canaan. And Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.
KJV	And Sarah died in Kirjatharba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.

KG	Felkele azután Ábrahám az ő halottja elől, és szóla a Khéth fiainak, mondván:
AS	And Abraham rose up from before his dead, and spake unto the children of Heth, saying,
KJV	And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth, saying,

KG	Idegen és jövevény vagyok közöttetek: Adjatok nékem temetésre való örökséget ti nálatok, hadd temessem el az én halottamat én előlem.
AS	I am a stranger and a sojourner with you. Give me a possession of a burying-place with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.
KJV	I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

KG	Felelének pedig a Khéth fiai Ábrahámnak, mondván őnéki:
AS	And the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying unto him,

KG	Hallgass meg minket uram: Istentől való fejedelem vagy te mi közöttünk, a mi temetőhelyeink közül amely legtisztességesebb, abba temesd el a te halottadat, közülünk senki sem tiltja meg tőled az ő temetőhelyét, hogy eltemethesd a te halottadat.
AS	Hear us, my lord. Thou art a prince of God among us. In the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead. None of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.
KJV	Hear us, my lord: thou art a mighty prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.

KG	És felkele Ábrahám, és meghajtá magát a földnek népe előtt, a Khéth fiai előtt.
AS	And Abraham rose up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.
KJV	And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.

KG	És szóla ő velök mondván: Ha azt akarjátok, hogy eltemessem az én halottamat én előlem: hallgassatok meg engemet, és esedezzetek én érettem Efron előtt, Cohár fia előtt.
AS	And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight, hear me, and entreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,

KG	Hogy adja nékem Makpelá barlangját, mely az övé, mely az ő mezejének szélében van: igaz árán adja nékem azt, ti köztetek temetésre való örökségül.
AS	that he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field. For the full price let him give it to me in the midst of you for a possession of a burying-place.
KJV	That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace amongst you.

KG	Efron pedig ül vala a Khéth fiai között. Felele azért Efron a Khitteus, Ábrahámnak, a Khéth fiainak és mindazoknak hallatára, akik bemennek vala az ő városának kapuján, mondván:
AS	Now Ephron was sitting in the midst of the children of Heth. And Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,
KJV	And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,

KG	Nem úgy uram, hallgass meg engem: azt a mezőt néked adom, s a barlangot, mely abban van, azt is néked adom, népem fiainak szeme láttára adom azt néked, temesd el halottadat.
AS	Nay, my lord, hear me. The field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee. In the presence of the children of my people give I it thee. Bury thy dead.
KJV	Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead.

KG	És meghajtá magát Ábrahám a földnek népe előtt.
AS	And Abraham bowed himself down before the people of the land.
KJV	And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land.

KG	És szóla Efronhoz a föld népének hallatára, mondván: Ha mégis meghallgatnál engem! megadom a mezőnek árát, fogadd el tőlem; azután eltemetem ott az én halottamat.
AS	And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt, I pray thee, hear me. I will give the price of the field. Take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.
KJV	And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.

KG	És felele Efron Ábrahámnak, mondván néki:
AS	And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him,

KG	Uram! hallgass meg engemet; négyszáz ezüst siklusos föld, micsoda az én köztem és te közötted? Csak temesd el a te halottadat.
AS	My lord, hearken unto me. A piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, what is that betwixt me and thee? Bury therefore thy dead.
KJV	My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.

KG	Engede azért Ábrahám Efronnak és odamérte Ábrahám Efronnak az ezüstöt, amelyet mondott vala a Khéth fiainak hallatára; kalmároknál kelendő négyszáz ezüst siklust.
AS	And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron. And Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the audience of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current `money' with the merchant.
KJV	And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.

KG	Így lett Efronnak Makpelában levő mezeje, mely Mamré átellenében van, a mező a benne levő barlanggal, és minden a mezőben levő fa az egész határban köröskörül
AS	So the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the border thereof round about, were made sure

KG	Ábrahámnak birtoka, a Khéth fiainak, mind azoknak szeme előtt, akik az ő városának kapuján bemennek vala.
AS	unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all that went in at the gate of his city.

KG	Azután eltemeté Ábrahám az ő feleségét Sárát a Makpelá mezejének barlangjába Mamréval szemben. Ez Hebron a Kanaán földén.
AS	And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre (the same is Hebron), in the land of Canaan.

KG	Így erősítteték meg a mező és a benne lévő barlang Ábrahámnak temetésre való örökségül a Khéth fiaitól.
AS	And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a burying-place by the children of Heth.
