AS	God, my rock, in him will I take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge; My saviour, thou savest me from violence.

KG	Az Úrhoz kiáltok, aki dícséretreméltó; És megszabadulok ellenségeimtől.

KG	Mert halál hullámai vettek engem körül, Az istentelenség árjai rettentettek engem;

KG	Szükségemben az Urat hívtam, S az én Istenemhez kiáltottam: És meghallá lakóhelyéről szavamat, S kiáltásom eljutott füleibe.
AS	In my distress I called upon Jehovah; Yea, I called unto my God: And he heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry `came' into his ears.

KG	Akkor rengett és remegett a föld, Az égnek fundamentumai inogtak, És megrendülének, mert haragudott Ő.

AS	Then the channels of the sea appeared, The foundations of the world were laid bare, By the rebuke of Jehovah, At the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

KG	Lenyúlt a magasságból és felvett engem, S a mélységes vizekből kihúzott engem.
AS	He sent from on high, he took me; He drew me out of many waters;

KG	Hatalmas ellenségimtől megszabadított engem; Gyűlölőimtől, kik hatalmasabbak valának nálam.

KG	Reámtörtek nyomorúságom napján, De az Úr gyámolom volt nékem.

KG	Az Úr megfizetett nékem igazságom szerint, Kezeimnek tisztasága szerint fizetett meg nékem.
AS	Jehovah rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

KG	Mert megőriztem az Úrnak utait, S gonoszul nem szakadtam el Istenemtől.
AS	For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not wickedly departed from my God.

KG	Mert ítéletei mind előttem vannak, S rendeléseitől nem távoztam el.

KG	Tökéletes voltam előtte, s őrizkedtem rosszaságomtól.

KG	Ezért megfizet nékem az Úr igazságom szerint, Szemei előtt való tisztaságom szerint.

KG	Az irgalmashoz irgalmas vagy, A tökéletes vitézhez tökéletes vagy.
AS	With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful; With the perfect man thou wilt show thyself perfect;

KG	A tisztához tiszta vagy, A visszáshoz pedig visszás.
AS	With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; And with the perverse thou wilt show thyself froward.

KG	Segítesz a nyomorult népen, Szemeiddel pedig megalázod a felfuvalkodottakat.

KG	Mert te vagy az én szövétnekem, Uram, S az Úr megvilágosítja az én sötétségemet.

KG	Mert veled harci seregen is átfutok, Az én Istenemmel kőfalon is átugrom.

KG	Az Istennek útja tökéletes; Az Úrnak beszéde tiszta; Paizsa ő mindeneknek, akik ő benne bíznak.
AS	As for God, his way is perfect: The word of Jehovah is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in him.

KG	Mert kicsoda volna Isten az Úron kivül? S kicsoda kőszikla a mi Istenünkön kivül?
AS	For who is God, save Jehovah? And who is a rock, save our God?

KG	Isten az én erős kőváram, Ki vezérli az igaznak útját.
AS	God is my strong fortress; And he guideth the perfect in his way.

KG	Lábait olyanná teszi, mint a szarvasé, S magas helyekre állít engem.

KG	Kezeimet harcra tanítja, Hogy az ércív karjaim által törik el.

KG	Idvességednek paizsát adtad nékem, S kegyelmed nagygyá tett engem.
AS	Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation; And thy gentleness hath made me great.

KG	Lépéseimet kiszélesítetted alattam. És bokáim meg nem tántorodtak.

KG	Üldözöm ellenségeimet és elpusztítom őket, Nem térek vissza, míg meg nem semmisítem őket.

KG	Megsemmisítem, eltiprom őket, hogy fel nem kelhetnek, Lábaim alatt hullanak el.

KG	Mert te erővel öveztél fel engem a harcra, Lenyomtad azokat, kik ellenem támadtak.

KG	Megadtad, hogy ellenségeim hátat fordítottak nékem, Gyülölőim, akiket elpusztítottam én,
AS	Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me, That I might cut off them that hate me.

KG	Felnéztek, de nem volt, ki megszabadítsa, Az Úrhoz, de nem felelt nékik.

KG	Idegen fiak hizelkednek nékem, S egy hallásra engedelmeskednek,
AS	The foreigners shall submit themselves unto me: As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me.

KG	Idegen fiak elcsüggednek, S váraikból reszketve jőnek elő.

KG	Él az Úr és áldott az én kősziklám. Magasztaltassék az Isten, idvességem kősziklája.
AS	Jehovah liveth; And blessed be my rock; And exalted be God, the rock of my salvation,

KG	Isten az, ki bosszút áll értem, S alám hajtja a népeket.
AS	Even the God that executeth vengeance for me, And that bringeth down peoples under me,
KJV	It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me.

KG	Ki megment engem ellenségeimtől, Te magasztalsz fel engem az ellenem támadók fölött, S az erőszakos embertől megszabadítasz engem.
AS	And that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: Yea, thou liftest me up above them that rise up against me; Thou deliverest me from the violent man.

KG	Dícsérlek azért téged, Uram, a pogányok között, S nevednek dícséretet éneklek.

KG	Nagy segítséget ad az ő királyának, Irgalmasságot cselekszik felkentjével, Dáviddal és az ő magvával mindörökké!
