KG	És felemelé szavát az egész gyülekezet, és síra a nép azon az éjszakán.
KJV	And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.

KG	És mindnyájan zúgolódának Mózes ellen és Áron ellen Izráel fiai, és monda nékik az egész gyülekezet: Vajha megholtunk volna Égyiptom földén! vagy ebben a pusztában vajha meghalnánk!
KJV	And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!

KG	Miért is visz be minket az Úr arra a földre? hogy fegyver miatt hulljunk el? feleségeink és a kicsinyeink prédára legyenek? Nem jobb volna-é nékünk visszatérnünk Égyiptomba?
KJV	And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?

KG	És mondának egymásnak: Szerezzünk előttünk járót, és térjünk vissza Égyiptomba.
KJV	And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

KG	Akkor arccal leborulának Mózes és Áron Izráel fiai gyülekezetének egész községe előtt.
KJV	Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.

KG	Józsué pedig, a Nún fia, és Káleb, a Jefunné fia, akik a földnek kémlelői közül valók valának, meghasogaták ruháikat.
KJV	And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:

KG	És szólának Izráel fiai egész gyülekezetének, mondván: A föld, amelyen általmentünk, hogy megkémleljük azt, igen-igen jó föld.
KJV	And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.

KG	Ha az Úrnak kedve telik bennünk, akkor bevisz minket arra a földre, és nékünk adja azt, mely tejjel és mézzel folyó föld.
KJV	If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.

KG	Csakhogy ne lázongjatok az Úr ellen, se ne féljetek annak a földnek népétől; mert ők nekünk csak olyanok, mint a kenyér; eltávozott tőlök az ő oltalmok, de az Úr velünk van: ne féljetek tőlök!
KJV	Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defense is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.

KG	Mikor pedig az egész gyülekezet azon tanakodék, hogy megkövezze őket: megjelenék az Úrnak dicsősége a gyülekezet sátorában Izráel minden fiának.
KJV	But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.

KG	És monda az Úr Mózesnek: Meddig gyaláz engemet ez a nép? Meddig nem hisznek nékem, mind ama csudatételeim mellett sem, amelyeket cselekedtem közöttök?
KJV	And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have showed among them?

KG	Megverem őket döghalállal, és elvesztem őket; téged pedig nagy néppé teszlek, és ő nálánál erősebbé.
KJV	I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.

KG	És monda Mózes az Úrnak: Ha meghallják az égyiptombeliek (mert közülök hoztad fel e népet a te hatalmad által):
KJV	And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;)

KG	Elmondják majd e föld lakosainak, akik hallották, hogy te Uram e nép között vagy, hogy szemtől szembe megjelentetted magadat te Uram, és hogy a te felhőd megállott ő rajtok, és felhőoszlopban jársz te ő előttök nappal, éjjel pedig tűzoszlopban.
KJV	And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.

KG	Hogyha mind egyig elveszted e népet, így szólanak majd e népek, amelyek hallották a te híredet, mondván:
KJV	Now if thou shalt kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying,

KG	Mivelhogy nem vihette be az Úr e népet a földre, amely felől megesküdött nékik, azért öldöste le őket a pusztában.
KJV	Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.

KG	Most azért hadd magasztaltassék fel az Úrnak ereje, amiképpen szólottál, mondván:
KJV	And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,

KG	Az Úr késedelmes a haragra, nagy irgalmasságú, megbocsát hamisságot és vétket, de a bűnöst nem hagyja büntetlenül; megbünteti az atyák álnokságait a fiakban harmad és negyed íziglen.
KJV	The LORD is long-suffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

KG	Kérlek, kegyelmezz meg e nép hamisságának a te irgalmasságod nagy volta szerint, amiképpen megbocsátottál e népnek Égyiptomtól fogva mind eddig.
KJV	Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.

KG	És monda az Úr: Megkegyelmeztem a te beszéded szerint.
KJV	And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word:

KG	De bizonnyal élek én, és betölti az Úr dicsősége az egész földet.
KJV	But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.

KG	Hogy mindazok az emberek, akik látták az én dicsőségemet és csudáimat, amelyeket cselekedtem Égyiptomban és e pusztában, és megkisértettek engemet immár tízszer, és nem engedtek az én szómnak:
KJV	Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;

KG	Nem látják meg azt a földet, amely felől megesküdtem az ő atyáiknak; senki nem látja azt azok közöl, akik gyaláztak engem.
KJV	Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:

KG	De az én szolgámat, Kálebet, mivelhogy más lélek volt vele, és tökéletességgel követett engem, beviszem őt arra a földre, amelyre bement vala, és örökségül bírja azt az ő magva.
KJV	But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

KG	De Amálek és Kananeus lakik a völgyben; holnap forduljatok meg, és induljatok a pusztába, a veres tenger útján.
KJV	(Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) Tomorrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.

KG	Szóla annakfelette az Úr Mózesnek és Áronnak, mondván:
KJV	And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

KG	Meddig tűrjek e gonosz gyülekezetnek, amely zúgolódik ellenem? Hallottam Izráel fiainak zúgolódásait, akik zúgolódnak ellenem!
KJV	How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.

KG	Mondd meg nékik: Élek én, azt mondja az Úr, hogy épen úgy cselekszem veletek, amiképpen szólottatok az én füleim hallására!
KJV	Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:

KG	E pusztában hullanak el a ti holttesteitek, és pedig mindazok, akik megszámláltattak a ti teljes számotok szerint, húsz esztendőstől fogva és azon felül, akik zúgolódtatok ellenem.
KJV	Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me.

KG	És nem mentek be arra a földre, amelyre nézve felemeltem az én kezemet, hogy lakosokká teszlek abban titeket; Kálebet, a Jefunné fiát és Józsuét, a Nún fiát kivéve.
KJV	Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

KG	De kicsinyeiteket, akik felől azt mondtátok, hogy prédára lesznek; őket beviszem, és megismerik azt a földet, amelyet megútáltatok.
KJV	But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised.

KG	A ti holttesteitek azért a pusztában hullanak el.
KJV	But as for you, your carcasses, they shall fall in this wilderness.

KG	A ti fiaitok pedig, mint a pásztorok, bujdosnak e pusztában negyven esztendeig, és viselik a ti paráználkodásitoknak büntetését, míglen megemésztetnek a ti holttesteitek e pusztában.
KJV	And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcasses be wasted in the wilderness.

KG	A napok száma szerint, amelyeken megkémleltétek a földet, (tudniillik negyven napon, egy-egy napért egy-egy esztendő), negyven esztendeig hordozzátok a ti hamisságotoknak büntetését, és megismeritek az én elfordulásomat.
KJV	After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

KG	Én, az Úr, szólottam. Bizonyára ezt mívelem az egész gonosz gyülekezettel, amely összegyülekezett vala ellenem; ebben a pusztában emésztetnek meg, és ugyanott halnak meg.
KJV	I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.

KG	A férfiak azért, akiket elküldött vala Mózes a földnek megkémlelésére, és visszatérének és felzúdíták ellene az egész gyülekezetet, rossz hírt terjesztvén arról a földről:
KJV	And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,

KG	Azok a férfiak azért, akik rossz hírt terjesztének a földről, meghalának az Úr előtt csapás által.
KJV	Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.

KG	Csak Józsué, a Nún fia, és Káleb, a Jefunné fia, maradának életben ama férfiak közül, akik mentek vala a földet megkémlelni.
KJV	But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still.

KG	Amint pedig elbeszélé Mózes e beszédeket Izráel fiainak, a nép felette igen keserge.
KJV	And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.

KG	És felkelének reggel, és felmenének a hegy tetejére, mondván: Ímé készek vagyunk elmenni a helyre, amelyről szólott az Úr, mert vétkeztünk.
KJV	And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the LORD hath promised: for we have sinned.

KG	És monda Mózes: Miért hágjátok át ilyen módon az Úr akaratát, holott nem sikerülhet az néktek.
KJV	And Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper.

KG	Fel ne menjetek, mert nem lesz közöttetek az Úr, hogy el ne hulljatok a ti ellenségeitek előtt.
KJV	Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies.

KG	Mert az Amálek és a Kananeus van ott előttetek, és fegyver által hulltok el. Mivelhogy elfordultatok az Úrtól, nem is lesz az Úr veletek.
KJV	For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.

KG	Mindazáltal merészkedének felmenni a hegy tetejére; de az Úr szövetségének ládája és Mózes meg sem mozdulának a táborból.
KJV	But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp.

KG	Alászálla azért az Amálek és a Kananeus, aki lakik vala azon a hegyen, és megverék őket, és vágák őket mind Hormáig.
KJV	Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, even unto Hormah.
