KG	Megfonnyasztotta testemet és bőrömet, összeroncsolta csontjaimat.
KJV	My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones.

KG	Erősséget épített ellenem és körülvett méreggel és fáradsággal.
KJV	He hath builded against me, and compassed me with gall and travail.

KG	Sötét helyekre ültetett engem, mint az örökre meghaltakat.
KJV	He hath set me in dark places, as they that be dead of old.

KG	Körülkerített, hogy ki ne mehessek, nehézzé tette láncomat.
KJV	He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.

KG	Sőt ha kiáltok és segítségül hívom is, nem hallja meg imádságomat.
KJV	Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.

KG	Elkerítette az én útaimat terméskővel, ösvényeimet elforgatta.
KJV	He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.

KG	Ólálkodó medve ő nékem és lesben álló oroszlán.
KJV	He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret places.

KG	Útaimat elterelte, és darabokra vagdalt és elpusztított engem!
KJV	He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.

KG	Kifeszítette kézívét, és a nyíl elé célul állított engem!
KJV	He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.

KG	Veséimbe bocsátotta tegzének fiait.
KJV	He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.

KG	Egész népemnek csúfjává lettem, és gúnydalukká napestig.
KJV	I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day.

KG	Eltöltött engem keserűséggel, megrészegített engem ürömmel.
KJV	He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.

KG	És kova-kővel tördelte ki fogaimat; porba tiprott engem.
KJV	He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath covered me with ashes.

KG	És kizártad lelkem a békességből; elfeledkeztem a jóról.
KJV	And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.

KG	És mondám: Elveszett az én erőm és az én reménységem az Úrban.
KJV	And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:

KG	Emlékezzél meg az én nyomorúságomról és eltapodtatásomról, az ürömről és a méregről!
KJV	Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

KG	Vissza-visszaemlékezik, és megalázódik bennem az én lelkem.
KJV	My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.

KG	Ezt veszem szívemre, azért bízom.
KJV	This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

KG	Az Úr kegyelmessége az, hogy még nincsen végünk; mivel nem fogyatkozik el az ő irgalmassága!
KJV	It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

KG	Minden reggel meg-megújul; nagy a te hűséged!
KJV	They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

KG	Az Úr az én örökségem, mondja az én lelkem, azért benne bízom.
KJV	The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

KG	Jó az Úr azoknak, akik várják őt; a léleknek, amely keresi őt.
KJV	The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

KG	Jó várni és megadással lenni az Úr szabadításáig.
KJV	It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

KG	Jó a férfiúnak, ha igát visel ifjúságában.
KJV	It is good for a man that he bear the yoke of his youth.

KG	Egyedül ül és hallgat, mert felvette magára.
KJV	He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him.

KG	Porba teszi száját, mondván: Talán van még reménység?
KJV	He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.

KG	Orcáját tartja az őt verőnek, megelégszik gyalázattal.
KJV	He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.

KG	Mert nem zár ki örökre az Úr.
KJV	For the LORD will not cast off for ever:

KG	Sőt, ha megszomorít, meg is vígasztal az ő kegyelmességének gazdagsága szerint.
KJV	But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

KG	Mert nem szíve szerint veri és szomorítja meg az embernek fiát.
KJV	For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

KG	Hogy lábai alá tiporja valaki a föld minden foglyát;
KJV	To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth.

KG	Hogy elfordíttassék az ember ítélete a Magasságosnak színe előtt;
KJV	To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,

KG	Hogy elnyomassék az ember az ő peres dolgában: ezt az Úr nem nézi el.
KJV	To subvert a man in his cause, the LORD approveth not.

KG	Kicsoda az, aki szól és meglesz, ha nem parancsolja az Úr?
KJV	Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?

KG	A Magasságosnak szájából nem jő ki a gonosz és a jó.
KJV	Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?

KG	Mit zúgolódik az élő ember? Ki-ki a maga bűneiért bűnhődik.
KJV	Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

KG	Tudakozzuk a mi útainkat és vizsgáljuk meg, és térjünk az Úrhoz.
KJV	Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

KG	Emeljük fel szíveinket kezeinkkel egyetemben Istenhez az égben.
KJV	Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.

KG	Mi voltunk gonoszok és pártütők, azért nem bocsátottál meg.
KJV	We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.

KG	Felöltötted a haragot és üldöztél minket, öldököltél, nem kiméltél.
KJV	Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.

KG	Felöltötted a felhőt, hogy hozzád ne jusson az imádság.
KJV	Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.

KG	Sepredékké és útálattá tettél minket a népek között.
KJV	Thou hast made us as the offscouring and refuse in the midst of the people.

KG	Feltátotta száját ellenünk minden ellenségünk.
KJV	All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.

KG	Rettegés és tőr van mi rajtunk, pusztulás és romlás.
KJV	Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.

KG	Víz-patakok folynak alá az én szememből népem leányának romlása miatt.
KJV	Mine eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.

KG	Szemem csörgedez és nem szünik meg, nincs pihenése,
KJV	Mine eye trickleth down, and ceaseth not, without any intermission.

KG	Míg ránk nem tekint és meg nem lát az Úr az égből.
KJV	Till the LORD look down, and behold from heaven.

KG	Szemem bánatba ejté lelkemet városomnak minden leányáért.
KJV	Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of all the daughters of my city.

KG	Vadászva vadásztak reám, mint valami madárra, ellenségeim ok nélkül.
KJV	Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause.

KG	Veremben fojtották meg életemet, és követ hánytak rám.
KJV	They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me.

KG	Felüláradtak a vizek az én fejem felett; mondám: Kivágattam!
KJV	Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off.

KG	Segítségül hívtam a te nevedet, oh Uram, a legalsó veremből.
KJV	I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon.

KG	Hallottad az én szómat; ne rejtsd el füledet sóhajtásom és kiáltásom elől.
KJV	Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry.

KG	Közelegj hozzám, mikor segítségül hívlak téged; mondd: Ne félj!
KJV	Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.

KG	Pereld meg Uram lelkemnek perét; váltsd meg életemet.
KJV	O LORD, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.

KG	Láttad, oh Uram, az én bántalmaztatásomat; ítéld meg ügyemet.
KJV	O LORD, thou hast seen my wrong: judge thou my cause.

KG	Láttad minden bosszúállásukat, minden ellenem való gondolatjokat.
KJV	Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations against me.

KG	Hallottad Uram az ő szidalmazásukat, minden ellenem való gondolatjokat;
KJV	Thou hast heard their reproach, O LORD, and all their imaginations against me;

KG	Az ellenem támadóknak ajkait, és ellenem való mindennapi szándékukat.
KJV	The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.

KG	Tekintsd meg leülésöket és felkelésöket; én vagyok az ő gúnydaluk.
KJV	Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their musick.

KG	Fizess meg nékik, Uram, az ő kezeiknek munkája szerint.
KJV	Render unto them a recompence, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.

KG	Adj nékik szívbeli konokságot; átkodul reájok.
KJV	Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them.

KG	Üldözd haragodban, és veszesd el őket az Úr ege alól!
KJV	Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the LORD.
