KG	Mikor pedig az egész nép teljesen általment vala a Jordánon, szóla az Úr Józsuénak, mondván:
KJV	And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

KG	Vegyetek magatokhoz a népből tizenkét férfiút, egy-egy férfiút egy-egy nemzetségből.
KJV	Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,

KG	És parancsoljátok nékik, mondván: Vegyetek fel innét a Jordán közepéből, arról a helyről, ahol bátorsággal állanak a papok lábai, tizenkét követ, és vigyétek át azokat magatokkal, és tegyétek le a szálláson, ahol megháltok ez éjszaka.
KJV	And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.

KG	Előhivá azért Józsué a tizenkét férfiút, akiket az Izráel fiai közül rendelt vala, egy-egy férfiút egy-egy nemzetségből;
KJV	Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man:

KG	És monda nékik Józsué: Menjetek át az Úrnak, a ti Isteneteknek frigyládája előtt a Jordán közepébe, s vegyen fel mindegyikőtök egy-egy követ az ő vállára, az Izráel fiai nemzetségeinek száma szerint,
KJV	And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take you up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:

KG	Hogy legyen ez jelül köztetek. Ha kérdezik majd ezután a ti fiaitok, mondván: Mire valók néktek ezek a kövek?
KJV	That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?

KG	Mondjátok meg nékik, hogy kétfelé vált a Jordánnak vize az Úr frigyládája előtt, mikor általment a Jordánon; ketté vált a Jordánnak vize, és ezek a kövek emlékeztetőül lesznek az Izráel fiainak mindörökre.
KJV	Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.

KG	És úgy cselekedének Izráel fiai, amint megparancsolta vala Józsué, és felvevének a Jordán közepéből tizenkét követ, amint megmondotta vala az Úr Józsuénak, az Izráel fiai nemzetségeinek száma szerint, és általhozák magokkal az éjjeli szállásra és ott letevék azokat.
KJV	And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.

KG	Tizenkét követ állíta fel Józsué a Jordán közepén is, azon a helyen, ahol állottak vala a frigyládát vivő papok lábai; ott is vannak mind e mai napig.
KJV	And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.

KG	A papok pedig, a ládának hordozói, állanak vala a Jordán közepén, amíg végbe mene mind az a dolog, amit parancsolt vala az Úr Józsuénak, hogy mondja meg a népnek, egészen úgy, amint Mózes parancsolta vala Józsuénak. A nép pedig sietett és általméne.
KJV	For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over.

KG	És amint véget ére az egész nép általmenetele, általméne az Úr ládája is és a papok is, a nép előtt.
KJV	And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over, that the ark of the LORD passed over, and the priests, in the presence of the people.

KG	Általmentek vala a Rúben fiai, a Gád fiai és Manassé félnemzetsége is felfegyverkezve az Izráel fiai előtt, amiképpen szólt vala nékik Mózes.
KJV	And the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them:

KG	Mintegy negyven ezernyi fegyveres vitéz ment vala át az Úr előtt a harcra, Jérikhónak sík mezejére.
KJV	About forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho.

KG	Azon a napon felmagasztalá az Úr Józsuét az egész Izráel szemei előtt, és félék őt, amint félték vala Mózest, életének minden napjaiban.
KJV	On that day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.

KG	Mert szólt vala az Úr Józsuénak, mondván:
KJV	And the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

KG	Parancsold meg a papoknak, akik a bizonyság ládáját hordozzák, hogy jőjjenek fel a Jordánból.
KJV	Command the priests that bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of Jordan.

KG	És parancsola Józsué a papoknak, mondván: Jőjjetek fel a Jordánból!
KJV	Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come ye up out of Jordan.

KG	És lőn, hogy amint a papok, az Úr frigyládájának hordozói, feljöttek vala a Jordán közepéből, és érintik vala a papok talpai a szárazt: visszatére a Jordán vize az ő helyére, és folyt vala, mint az előtt, minden partja felett.
KJV	And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before.

KG	A nép pedig az első hónak tizedik napján jöve fel a Jordánból, és tábort üte Gilgálban, Jérikhónak keleti határán.
KJV	And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho.

KG	Azt a tizenkét követ is, amelyeket a Jordánból hoztak vala, Gilgálban állatá fel Józsué.
KJV	And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal.

KG	És szóla Izráel fiainak, mondván: Ha fiaitok kérdezik majd apáiktól, mondván: Mire valók ezek a kövek?
KJV	And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones?

KG	Tudassátok majd a ti fiaitokkal, mondván: Szárazon jött át Izráel ezen a Jordánon.
KJV	Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.

KG	Mert kiszárította az Úr, a ti Istenetek a Jordán vizét ti előttetek, míg általjövétek rajta, amiképpen cselekedett vala az Úr, a ti Istenetek a Veres tengerrel, amelyet megszárított előttünk; míg általjövénk rajta.
KJV	For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:

KG	Hogy megismerje a földnek minden népe az Úrnak kezét, hogy bizony erős az; hogy féljétek az Urat, a ti Isteneteket minden időben.
KJV	That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.
