KG	Ábrahám pedig ismét vőn magának feleséget, kinek neve Ketúráh vala.
KJV	Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.

KG	És az szűlé néki Zimránt, Joksánt, Médánt, Midiánt, Isbákot és Suakhot.
KJV	And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

KG	Joksán pedig nemzé Sébát, és Dédánt. Dédánnak pedig fiai valának: Assurim, Letúsim és Leummim.
KJV	And Jokshan begat Sheba, and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, and Letushim, and Leummim.

KG	S Midiánnak fiai: Éfah, Éfer, Hánok, Abida és Eldaah: Mind ezek Ketúráhnak fiai.
KJV	And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.

KG	Valamije pedig Ábrahámnak vala, mindazt Izsáknak adta vala.
KJV	And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac.

KG	Az ágyasok fiainak pedig, akik Ábraháméi valának, ada Ábrahám ajándékokat, és elküldé azokat az ő fia mellől, Izsák mellől még éltében napkelet felé, napkeleti tartományba.
KJV	But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

KG	S ezek Ábrahám élete esztendeinek napjai, melyeket élt: száz hetvenöt esztendő.
KJV	And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years.

KG	És kimúlék és meghala Ábrahám, jó vénségben, öregen és betelve az élettel, és takaríttaték az ő népéhez.
KJV	Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.

KG	És eltemeték őt Izsák és Ismáel az ő fiai a Makpelá barlangjában, Efronnak, a Khitteus Cohár fiának mezejében, mely Mamré átellenében van.
KJV	And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre;

KG	Abban a mezőben, melyet Ábrahám a Khéth fiaitól vett vala: ott temettetett el Ábrahám és az ő felesége Sára.
KJV	The field which Abraham purchased of the sons of Heth: there was Abraham buried, and Sarah his wife.

KG	Lőn pedig Ábrahám halála után, megáldá Isten az ő fiát Izsákot; Izsák pedig lakozék a Lakhai Rói forrásánál.
KJV	And it came to pass after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac; and Isaac dwelt by the well Lahairoi.

KG	Ezek pedig Ábrahám fiának Ismáelnek nemzetségei, akit az Égyiptombeli Hágár a Sára szolgálója szűlt vala Ábrahámnak.
KJV	Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham:

KG	Ezek az Ismáel fiainak nevei, nevök s nemzetségök szerint: Ismáelnek elsőszülötte Nebájót, azután Kédar, Adbeél és Mibszám.
KJV	And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

KG	És Misma, Dúmah és Massza.
KJV	And Mishma, and Dumah, and Massa,

KG	Hadar, Théma, Jetúr, Náfis és Kedmah.
KJV	Hadar, and Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah:

KG	Ezek az Ismáel fiai, és ezek azoknak nevei udvaraikban, falvaikban; tizenkét fejedelem az ő nemzetségök szerint.
KJV	These are the sons of Ishmael, and these are their names, by their towns, and by their castles; twelve princes according to their nations.

KG	Ezek pedig az Ismáel életének esztendei: száz harminckét esztendő. És kimúlék és meghala, és takaríttaték az ő népéhez.
KJV	And these are the years of the life of Ishmael, an hundred and thirty and seven years: and he gave up the ghost and died; and was gathered unto his people.

KG	Lakoztak pedig Havilától fogva Súrig, amely Égyiptom átellenében van, amerre Assiriába mennek. Minden atyjafiával szemben esett az ő lakása.
KJV	And they dwelt from Havilah unto Shur, that is before Egypt, as thou goest toward Assyria: and he died in the presence of all his brethren.

KG	Ezek pedig Izsáknak az Ábrahám fiának nemzetségei: Ábrahám nemzé Izsákot.
KJV	And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac:

KG	Izsák pedig negyven esztendős vala, amikor feleségűl vette Rebekát a Siriából való Bethuélnek leányát, Mésopotámiából, a Siriából való Lábánnak húgát.
KJV	And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

KG	És könyörge Izsák az Úrnak az ő feleségéért, mivelhogy magtalan vala, és az Úr meghallgatá őt: és teherbe esék Rebeka, az ő felesége.
KJV	And Isaac entreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

KG	Tusakodnak vala pedig a fiak az ő méhében. Akkor monda: Ha így van, miért vagyok én így? Elméne azért, hogy megkérdezze az Urat.
KJV	And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire of the LORD.

KG	És monda az Úr őnéki: Két nemzetség van a te méhedben; és két nép válik ki a te belsődből, egyik nép a másik népnél erősebb lesz, és a nagyobbik szolgál a kisebbiknek.
KJV	And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

KG	És betelének az ő szülésének napjai, és ímé kettősök valának az ő méhében.
KJV	And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.

KG	És kijöve az első; vereses vala, mindenestől szőrös, mint egy lazsnak; azért nevezék nevét Ézsaúnak.
KJV	And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.

KG	Azután kijöve az ő atyjafia, kezével Ézsaú sarkába fogódzva; azért nevezék nevét Jákóbnak. Izsák pedig hatvan esztendős vala, amikor ezek születének.
KJV	And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

KG	És felnevekedének a gyermekek, és Ézsaú vadászathoz értő mezei ember vala; Jákób pedig szelíd ember, sátorban lakozó.
KJV	And the boys grew: and Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob was a plain man, dwelling in tents.

KG	Szereti vala azért Izsák Ézsaút, mert szájaíze szerint vala a vad; Rebeka pedig szereti vala Jákóbot.
KJV	And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.

KG	Jákób egyszer valami főzeléket főze, és Ézsaú megjövén elfáradva a mezőről,
KJV	And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint:

KG	Monda Ézsaú Jákóbnak: Engedd, hogy ehessem a veres ételből, mert fáradt vagyok. Ezért nevezék nevét Edomnak.
KJV	And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.

KG	Jákób pedig monda: Add el hát nékem azonnal a te elsőszülöttségedet.
KJV	And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

KG	És monda Ézsaú; Ímé én halni járok, mire való hát nékem az én elsőszülöttségem?
KJV	And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me?

KG	És monda Jákób: Esküdjél meg hát nékem azonnal, és megesküvék néki és eladá az ő elsőszülöttségét Jákóbnak.
KJV	And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.

KG	S akkor Jákób ada Ézsaúnak kenyeret, és főtt lencsét, és evék és ivék, és felkele és elméne. Így veté meg Ézsaú az elsőszülöttséget.
KJV	Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentils; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
