KG	E dolgok után lőn az Úr beszéde Ábrámhoz látomásban, mondván: Ne félj Ábrám: én paizsod vagyok tenéked, a te jutalmad felette igen bőséges.
KJV	After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

KG	És monda Ábrám: Uram Isten, mit adnál énnékem, holott én magzatok nélkűl járok, és az, akire az én házam száll, a Damaskusbeli Eliézer?
KJV	And Abram said, LORD God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

KG	És monda Ábrám: Ímé énnékem nem adtál magot, és ímé az én házam szolgaszülöttje lesz az én örökösöm.
KJV	And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

KG	És ímé szóla az Úr ő hozzá, mondván: Nem ez lesz a te örökösöd: hanem aki a te ágyékodból származik, az lesz a te örökösöd.
KJV	And, behold, the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

KG	És kivivé őt, és monda: Tekints fel az égre, és számláld meg a csillagokat, ha azokat megszámlálhatod; – és monda nékie: Így lészen a te magod.
KJV	And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

KG	És hitt az Úrnak és tulajdoníttaték az őnéki igazságul.
KJV	And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

KG	És monda néki: Én vagyok az Úr, ki téged kihoztalak Úr-Kaszdimból, hogy néked adjam e földet, örökségedűl.
KJV	And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.

KG	És monda: Uram Isten, miről tudhatom meg, hogy öröklöm azt?
KJV	And he said, LORD God, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?

KG	És felele néki: Hozz nékem egy három esztendős üszőt, egy három esztendős kecskét, és egy három esztendős kost, egy gerlicét és egy galambfiat.
KJV	And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

KG	Elhozá azért mind ezeket, és kétfelé hasítá azokat, és mindeniknek fele részét a másik fele része átellenébe helyezteté; de a madarakat nem hasította vala kétfelé.
KJV	And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.

KG	És ragadozó madarak szállának e húsdarabokra, de Ábrám elűzi vala azokat.
KJV	And when the fowls came down upon the carcasses, Abram drove them away.

KG	És lőn naplementekor, mély álom lepé meg Ábrámot, és ímé rémülés és nagy setétség szálla ő reá.
KJV	And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

KG	És monda az Úr Ábrámnak: Tudván tudjad, hogy a te magod jövevény lesz a földön, mely nem övé, és szolgálatra szorítják, és nyomorgatják őket négyszáz esztendeig.
KJV	And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;

KG	De azt a népet, melyet szolgálnak, szintén megítélem én, és annakutánna kijőnek nagy gazdagsággal.
KJV	And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

KG	Te pedig elmégy a te atyáidhoz békességgel, eltemettetel jó vénségben.
KJV	And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.

KG	Csak a negyedik nemzedék tér meg ide; mert az Emoreusok gonoszsága még nem tölt be.
KJV	But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

KG	És mikor a nap leméne és setétség lőn, ímé egy füstölgő kemence, és tüzes fáklya, mely általmegyen vala a húsdarabok között.
KJV	And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

KG	E napon kötött az Úr szövetséget Ábrámmal, mondván: A te magodnak adom ezt a földet Égyiptomnak folyóvizétől fogva, a nagy folyóig, az Eufrátes folyóvízig.
KJV	In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

KG	A Keneusokat, Kenizeusokat, és a Kadmoneusokat.
KJV	The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,

KG	A Hittheusokat, Perizeusokat, és a Refeusokat.
KJV	And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaim,

KG	Az Emoreusokat, Kananeusokat, Girgazeusokat, és a Jebuzeusokat.
KJV	And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.
