KG	És meghallá Jethró, Midián papja, Mózes ipa, mindazt amit Isten Mózessel és Izráellel az ő népével cselekedett vala, hogy kihozta az Úr Izráelt Égyiptomból.
KJV	When Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses' father in law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, and that the LORD had brought Israel out of Egypt;

KG	És felvevé Jethró, a Mózes ipa Cipporát, a Mózes feleségét – miután haza bocsátotta őt -
KJV	Then Jethro, Moses' father in law, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after he had sent her back,

KG	És az ő két fiát is, akik közül az egyiknek neve Gersom, mert azt mondotta vala: Bujdosó valék az idegen földön;
KJV	And her two sons; of which the name of the one was Gershom; for he said, I have been an alien in a strange land:

KG	A másiknak neve pedig Eliézer; mert: Az én atyám Istene segítségül volt nékem és megszabadított engem a Faraó fegyverétől.
KJV	And the name of the other was Eliezer; for the God of my father, said he, was mine help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh:

KG	Eljuta tehát Jethró, a Mózes ipa, az ő fiaival és feleségével Mózeshez a pusztába, ahol ő táborozott vala az Isten hegye mellett.
KJV	And Jethro, Moses' father in law, came with his sons and his wife unto Moses into the wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God:

KG	És megizené Mózesnek: Én Jethró a te ipad megyek te hozzád a te feleségeddel és az ő két fia is ő vele.
KJV	And he said unto Moses, I thy father in law Jethro am come unto thee, and thy wife, and her two sons with her.

KG	Kiméne azért Mózes az ő ipa eleibe és meghajtá magát és megcsókolá őt; és megkérdék egymást állapotuk felől és bemenének a sátorba.
KJV	And Moses went out to meet his father in law, and did obeisance, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.

KG	És elbeszélé Mózes az ő ipának mind azt, amit az Úr a Faraóval és az Égyiptombeliekkel cselekedett vala Izráelért; mindazt a sok bajt, amelyek útközben érték vala őket, és mimódon szabadította meg őket az Úr.
KJV	And Moses told his father in law all that the LORD had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Israel's sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how the LORD delivered them.

KG	És örvendeze Jethró mindazon a jón, amit az Úr az Izráellel cselekedett vala, hogy megszabadítá őt az Égyiptombeliek kezéből.
KJV	And Jethro rejoiced for all the goodness which the LORD had done to Israel, whom he had delivered out of the hand of the Egyptians.

KG	És monda Jethró: Áldott legyen az Úr, aki megszabadított titeket az Égyiptombeliek kezéből és a Faraó kezéből; aki megszabadította a népet az Égyiptombeliek keze alól.
KJV	And Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who hath delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who hath delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.

KG	Most tudom már, hogy nagyobb az Úr minden istennél; mert az lett vesztökre, amivel ellenök vétkeztek.
KJV	Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.

KG	És Jethró, a Mózes ipa égőáldozattal és véresáldozattal áldozék az Istennek; Áron pedig és Izráel minden vénei jövének, hogy kenyeret egyenek a Mózes ipával Isten előtt.
KJV	And Jethro, Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father in law before God.

KG	És lőn másod napon, leűle Mózes törvényt tenni a népnek; a nép pedig áll vala Mózes előtt reggeltől estig.
KJV	And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.

KG	S amikor látja vala Mózes ipa mind azt, amit ő a néppel cselekedék, monda: Mi dolog az, amit te a néppel cselekszel; miért űlsz te egymagad, mind az egész nép pedig előtted áll reggeltől estig?
KJV	And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even?

KG	És monda Mózes az ő ipának: Mert a nép Isten akaratát tudakolni jön hozzám;
KJV	And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to inquire of God:

KG	Ha ügyök-bajok van, én hozzám jőnek és törvényt teszek az ember között és felebarátja között és tudtára adom az Isten végezéseit és törvényeit.
KJV	When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.

KG	Mózes ipa pedig monda néki: Nem jó az, amit te cselekszel.
KJV	And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.

KG	Felettébb kifáradsz te is, ez a nép is, amely veled van; mert erőd felett való dolog ez, nem végezheted azt egymagad.
KJV	Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.

KG	Most azért hallgass az én szavamra, tanácsot adok néked és az Isten veled lesz. Te légy a népnek szószólója az Isten előtt, és te vidd az ügyeket Isten eleibe.
KJV	Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:

KG	És tanítsd őket a rendeletekre és törvényekre és add tudtokra az útat, amelyen járniok kell és a tenni valót, amelyet tenniök kell.
KJV	And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt show them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.

KG	És szemelj ki magad az egész nép közül derék, istenfélő férfiakat, igazságos férfiakat, akik gyűlölik a haszonlesést és tedd közöttük előljárókká, ezeredesekké, századosokká, ötvenedesekké és tizedesekké.
KJV	Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

KG	Ezek tegyenek ítéletet a népnek minden időben, úgy hogy minden nagyobb ügyet te elődbe hozzanak, minden csekélyebb dologban pedig ők ítéljenek; így könnyítve lesz rajtad, ha azt veled együtt hordozzák.
KJV	And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.

KG	Ha ezt cselekszed és az Isten is parancsolja néked: megállhatsz és az egész nép is helyére jut békességben.
KJV	If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.

KG	És hallgata Mózes az ő ipa szavára és mindazt megtevé, amit mondott vala.
KJV	So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

KG	És választa Mózes az egész Izráelből derék férfiakat és a nép fejeivé tevé őket, ezeredesekké, századosokká, ötvenedesekké, és tizedesekké.
KJV	And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

KG	És ítélik vala a népet minden időben; a nehéz dolgokat Mózes elé viszik vala, minden kisebb dologban pedig ők ítélnek vala.
KJV	And they judged the people at all seasons: the hard causes they brought unto Moses, but every small matter they judged themselves.

KG	És elbocsátá Mózes az ő ipát, és ez elméne hazájába.
KJV	And Moses let his father in law depart; and he went his way into his own land.
