KG	Elizeus próféta pedig szólíta egyet a próféták fiai közül, és monda néki: Övezd fel derekadat, és vedd kezedbe e korsócska olajat, és menj el Rámóth Gileádba.
KJV	And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:

KG	És menj be oda, és nézd meg, hol van Jéhu, Josafátnak, a Nimsi fiának fia. Mikor pedig oda érsz, költsd fel őt az ő atyjafiai közül, és vidd be a belső kamarába,
KJV	And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

KG	És vedd elő e korsócska olajat, és töltsd az ő fejére, ezt mondván: Azt mondja az Úr: Téged kentelek királylyá Izráelen! És az ajtót kinyitván, fuss el, és semmit ott ne időzz.
KJV	Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

KG	És elment az ifjú, a próféta tanítványa, Rámóth Gileádba.
KJV	So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramothgilead.

KG	És mikor bement, ímé a seregek fejedelmei ott ültek együtt, és ő monda: Beszédem volna veled, fejedelem! És monda Jéhu: Kivel volna beszéded ennyiőnk közül? És monda: Te veled, fejedelem!
KJV	And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain.

KG	Felkele azért, és bement a házba, és fejére tölté az olajat, és monda néki: Azt mondja az Úr, Izráel Istene: Királylyá kentelek téged az Úrnak népén, az Izráelen,
KJV	And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

KG	Hogy elveszítsed Akhábnak, a te uradnak háznépét; mert bosszút állok az én szolgáimnak, a prófétáknak véréért, és mind az Úr szolgáinak véréért Jézabelen.
KJV	And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

KG	És kivész egészen az Akháb háza, és kigyomlálom mind az Akhábhoz tartozókat, még az ebet is, mind a berekesztettet, mind az elhagyottat Izráelben;
KJV	For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:

KG	És olyanná teszem az Akháb házát, mint Jeroboámnak, a Nébát fiának házát, és mint Baasának, az Ahija fiának házát.
KJV	And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:

KG	Jézabelt pedig az ebek eszik meg Jezréel mezején, és nem lesz, aki eltemesse őt. És kinyitván az ajtót, elfutott.
KJV	And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

KG	És mikor Jéhu kiment az ő urának szolgáihoz, mondának néki: Békességes-é a dolog? Miért jött e bolond hozzád? És felele nékik: Hiszen ismeritek ez embert és az ő beszédét!
KJV	Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.

KG	És mondának: Hazugság! Mondd meg az igazat. És monda: Így s így szóla nékem, mondván: Azt mondja az Úr: Királylyá kentelek téged Izráelen.
KJV	And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

KG	Akkor nagy sietséggel kiki mind vevé az ő ruháját, és alája terítették a grádics felső részére és megfuvaták a harsonákat, és kikiálták: Jéhu uralkodik!
KJV	Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.

KG	Így ütött pártot Jéhu, Josafátnak, a Nimsi fiának fia, Jórám ellen. Jórám pedig ott táborozott volt Rámóth Gileád alatt az egész Izráellel, Hazáel, Siria királya ellen.
KJV	So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

KG	De visszatért volt Jórám király, hogy magát Jezréelben gyógyíttassa a sebekből, amelyeket a Siriabeliek ütöttek rajta, mikor Hazáel, Siria királya ellen harcolt. És monda Jéhu: Ha néktek is úgy tetszik, ne engedjetek senkit kimenni a városból, aki elmenjen és hírül vigye ezt Jezréelbe.
KJV	But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

KG	És befogatott Jéhu, és elment Jezréelbe, ahol Jórám feküdt, és ahova Akházia is, a Júda királya lement volt, hogy meglátogassa Jórámot.
KJV	So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

KG	Mikor pedig az őrálló, aki Jezréelben a tornyon állott, meglátta Jéhu seregét, hogy jő, monda: Valami sereget látok. Akkor monda Jórám: Válassz egy lovast és küldj eléjök, és mondja ezt: Békességes-é a dolog?
KJV	And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

KG	És oda lovagolt a lovas eléjük, és monda: Azt kérdi a király: Békességes-é a dolog? Felele Jéhu: Mi gondod van a békességgel? Kerülj a hátam mögé. Megjelenté pedig ezt az őrálló, mondván: Hozzájok ment ugyan a követ; de nem tért vissza.
KJV	So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.

KG	Akkor elküldött egy másik lovast, aki hozzájok ment, és monda: Azt kérdi a király: Békességes-é a dolog? Felele Jéhu: Mi gondod van a békességgel? Kerülj a hátam mögé.
KJV	Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

KG	Hírül adá ezt is az őrálló, mondván: Hozzájok ment ugyan; de nem jött vissza. De a hajtás olyan, mint Jéhunak, a Nimsi fiának hajtása; mert mint egy őrült, úgy hajt.
KJV	And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

KG	Akkor monda Jórám: Fogjatok be! És befogván az ő szekerét, kiméne Jórám, az Izráel királya, és Akházia, a Júda királya, mindenik a maga szekerén, Jéhu eleibe, és a Jezréelbeli Nábót mezején találkoztak vele.
KJV	And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

KG	És mikor meglátta Jórám Jéhut, monda: Békességes-é a dolog, Jéhu? Felele ő: Mit békesség?! Mikor Jézabelnek, a te anyádnak paráznasága és varázslása mindig nagyobb lesz!
KJV	And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

KG	Akkor megfordítá Jórám az ő kezét és futni kezde, és monda Akháziának: Árulás ez, Akházia!
KJV	And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

KG	Jéhu pedig meghúzván az ívét, Jórámot hátba lövé a lapockák között úgy, hogy a szívén ment át a nyíl, és lerogyott a szekérben.
KJV	And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

KG	És monda Bidkárnak, az ő hadnagyának: Fogd meg és vesd a Jezréelbeli Nábót mezejére; mert emlékezz csak vissza, mikor mi, én és te, ketten az ő atyja, Akháb után lovagoltunk, és az Úr ő felőle ezt a fenyegetést mondotta:
KJV	Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

KG	Bizonyára megkeresem a Nábót vérét és az ő fiainak vérét, amelyet tegnap láttam, azt mondja az Úr: Azért megfizetek néked ezen a szántóföldön, azt mondja az Úr: Most azért fogjad őt, és vesd a szántóföldre, az Úr beszéde szerint.
KJV	Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

KG	Akházia pedig, a Júda királya, mikor látta ezt, futni kezde a kert házának útján; de Jéhu utána menvén, monda: Ezt is vágjátok le a szekérben és megsebesíték őt a Gúr hágójánál, amely Jibleám mellett van; és ő Megiddóba menekülvén, ott meghalt.
KJV	But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

KG	És az ő szolgái elvitték őt szekéren Jeruzsálembe, és eltemették az ő sirboltjába az ő atyáival a Dávid városában.
KJV	And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.

KG	Akházia pedig uralkodni kezdett Júdában Jórámnak, az Akháb fiának tizenegyedik esztendejében.
KJV	And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.

KG	És mikor Jéhu Jezréelbe ment és Jézabel ezt meghallotta, arcát megékesíté kenettel, felékesítette fejét, és kitámaszkodott az ablakon.
KJV	And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

KG	És mikor Jéhu bevonult a kapun, monda: Békesség van-é, óh Zimri! uradnak gyilkosa?
KJV	And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

KG	Ő pedig feltekintve az ablakra, monda: Ki van ott velem? Ki? És alátekintett két vagy három főember.
KJV	And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

KG	És monda azoknak: Vessétek alá őt. És aláveték, és az ő vére szétfrecskendezett a falra és a lovakra, és eltapodtatá őt.
KJV	And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

KG	Bemenvén pedig oda, evett és ivott, és monda: Nézzetek utána annak az átkozottnak és temessétek el; hiszen mégis csak király leánya.
KJV	And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter.

KG	De mikor kimentek, hogy eltemetnék őt, már semmit sem találtak belőle, csak a koponyáját, a lábait és a keze fejeit.
KJV	And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

KG	És visszamenvén, megmondák néki, és ő monda: Ez az Úr beszéde, amelyet szólott az ő szolgája, Thesbites Illés által, mondván: Az ebek eszik meg Jézabel testét a Jezréel földén,
KJV	Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

KG	És olyan lesz Jezréel földjén a Jézabel teste, mint a mezőn a ganéj, úgy, hogy senki meg nem mondhatja: Ez Jézabel!
KJV	And the carcass of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.
