KG	A Lélek pedig nyilván mondja, hogy az utolsó időben némelyek elszakadnak a hittől, hitető lelkekre és gonosz lelkek tanításaira figyelmezvén.
KJV	Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

KG	Hazug beszédűeknek képmutatása által, kik meg vannak bélyegezve a saját lelkiismeretökben.
KJV	Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

KG	Akik tiltják a házasságot, sürgetik az eledelektől való tartózkodást, melyeket Isten teremtett hálaadással való élvezésre a hívőknek és azoknak, akik megismerték az igazságot.
KJV	Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

KG	Mert Istennek minden teremtett állata jó, és semmi sem megvetendő, ha hálaadással élnek azzal;
KJV	For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

KG	Mert megszenteltetik Istennek ígéje és könyörgés által.
KJV	For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

KG	Ezeket ha eleikbe adod az atyafiaknak, Krisztus Jézusnak jó szolgája leszel, táplálkozván a hitnek és jó tudománynak beszédeivel, amelyet követtél;
KJV	If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

KG	A szentségtelen és vénasszonyos meséket pedig eltávoztasd. Hanem gyakorold magadat a kegyességre:
KJV	But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

KG	Mert a test gyakorlásának kevés haszna van; de a kegyesség mindenre hasznos, meglévén benne a jelenvaló és a jövő életnek ígérete.
KJV	For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

KG	Igaz ez a beszéd, és méltó, hogy mindenképpen elfogadjuk.
KJV	This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

KG	Mert azért fáradunk és szenvedünk szidalmakat, mivelhogy reménységünket vetettük az élő Istenben, aki minden embernek megtartója, kiváltképpen a hívőknek.
KJV	For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

KG	Ezeket hirdessed és tanítsad.
KJV	These things command and teach.

KG	Senki a te ifjúságodat meg ne vesse, hanem légy példa a hívőknek a beszédben, a magaviseletben, a szeretetben, a lélekben, a hitben, a tisztaságban.
KJV	Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

KG	Amíg oda megyek, legyen gondod a felolvasásra, az intésre és a tanításra.
KJV	Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

KG	Meg ne vesd a kegyelemnek benned való ajándékát, amely adatott néked prófétálás által, a presbitérium kezeinek reád tevésével.
KJV	Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

KG	Ezekről gondoskodjál, ezeken légy, hogy előhaladásod nyilvánvaló legyen mindenek előtt.
KJV	Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

KG	Gondot viselj magadról és a tudományról; maradj meg azokban; mert ezt cselekedvén, mind magadat megtartod, mind a te hallgatóidat.
KJV	Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
