KG	Külde pedig Hírám, Tírus királya Dávidhoz követeket: cédrusfákat, kőmíveseket és ácsmestereket, hogy néki házat csináljanak.
KJV	Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house.

KG	És megismeré Dávid, hogy az Úr őt megerősítette a királyságban Izráel felett, mivelhogy igen felmagasztaltatott vala az ő országa az ő népéért, az Izráelért.
KJV	And David perceived that the LORD had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.

KG	Vőn pedig Dávid még több feleséget Jeruzsálemben, és nemze Dávid még több fiakat és leányokat.
KJV	And David took more wives at Jerusalem: and David begat more sons and daughters.

KG	És ezek neveik azoknak, akik születtek néki Jeruzsálemben: Sammua, Sobáb, Nátán és Salamon,
KJV	Now these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,

KG	Ibhár, Elisua és Elpélet,
KJV	And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,

KG	Nógah, Néfeg és Jáfia,
KJV	And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,

KG	Elisáma, Beheljada és Elifélet.
KJV	And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.

KG	Megértvén pedig a Filiszteusok, hogy Dávid királylyá kenetett fel az egész Izráel felett, feljövének mind a Filiszteusok, hogy megkeressék Dávidot. Mely dolgot mikor Dávid meghallott, azonnal ellenök ment.
KJV	And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.

KG	A Filiszteusok pedig eljövén, elszéledének a Réfaim völgyében.
KJV	And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

KG	Akkor Dávid megkérdé az Istent, mondván: Felmenjek-é a Filiszteusok ellen, és kezembe adod-é őket? És monda néki az Úr: Menj fel, és kezedbe adom őket.
KJV	And David inquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand.

KG	Felmenének azért Baál-perásimba, és ott Dávid őket megveré, és monda Dávid: Az Isten eloszlatá az én ellenségeimet az én kezem által, mint a vizeknek oszlását; azért nevezék azt a helyet Baál-perásimnak.
KJV	So they came up to Baalperazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baalperazim.

KG	És ott hagyák az ő bálvány isteneiket, és Dávid megparancsolá, hogy megégessék azokat.
KJV	And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.

KG	Ismét feltámadának a Filiszteusok és a völgyben szétterjeszkedtek.
KJV	And the Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad in the valley.

KG	Azért Dávid ismét megkérdé az Istent, és monda az Isten néki: Ne menj fel utánok, hanem fordulj el tőlök, és menj reájok a szederfák irányában;
KJV	Therefore David inquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.

KG	És mikor hallándod a járás dobogását a szederfák tetején, akkor menj ki a viadalra; mert az Isten te előtted megyen, hogy megverje a Filiszteusok táborát.
KJV	And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.

KG	Dávid azért úgy cselekedék, amint néki Isten meghagyta volt, és vágák a Filiszteusok táborát Gibeontól fogva szinte Gézerig.
KJV	David therefore did as God commanded him: and they smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer.

KG	És elterjede Dávid híre az országokban, és az Úr adá a tőle való félelmet minden pogányokra.
KJV	And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.
